(NEWARK, NJ) -- Newark ArtSpace hosts So You Want to Work in the Film Industry? on Saturday, September 6, 2025. This is an informed conversation with real industry professionals about breaking into and thriving within the world of film presented by NJPAC, Newark Museum of Art, and Newark Arts. The event runs from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.

Take part in a powerful evening of truth-telling, strategy, and connection for aspiring and working creatives in the film industry.

Whether you're behind the camera, in the writer's room, or dreaming of the director’s chair, this intimate panel and networking event will unpack the real-world challenges and possibilities of building a film career from the ground up.

Hear directly from actors, producers, writers, and industry insiders who have carved their own paths, many of them right here in Newark. From navigating barriers to building lasting relationships in the industry, this evening is about opening doors and passing the mic.

Parking accessed through the former Burger King Broadway entrance. Retail parking is available from 7:00am-7:00pm and resident guest parking is from 7:00pm-7:00 am with a complimentary three hour period.

Once parked you will need to scan the QR code indicated on the sign to register for a permit. Parking is first come, first serve.
