'An Old-Fashioned Family Murder' – A Whodunit at George Street Playhouse. Many theater goers enjoy going to see a "whodunit." This genre of theater includes mystery stories involving some sort of crime being committed. There are elements of suspense and fun as it challenges the audience to figure out who is responsible. McCarter Theatre presents "300 Paintings" by Comedian Turned Artist Sam Kissajukian. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Sometimes a breakdown coincides with the biggest breakthrough. In 2021, Sydney comedian Sam Kissajukian quit stand-up, rented an abandoned cake factory, and became a painter. Over the course of a six-month manic episode, he created 300 large-scale paintings—unknowingly chronicling his mental state in real time.
Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater & Music Theater presents "A Moment of Silence" by Mohammad Yaghoubi. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater and Music Theater at Princeton University presents A Moment of Silence by celebrated Iranian playwright and director Mohammad Yaghoubi. The play, presented in an English translation, offers a surreal, poetic, unexpectedly humorous, and deeply human meditation on Iran's turbulent modern history. Sunday, November 2 - NJ Jazz Society Scholarship Winners to Perform with Jazz Professionals in Madison. (MADISON, NJ) -- All six New Jersey Jazz Society 2025 Scholarship Winners will perform live on Sunday, November 2, 2025 in a Jersey Jazz LIVE! concert at the Madison Community Arts Center. They will be joined by five veteran jazz professionals: tenor saxophonist/flutist Don Braden, trombonist Mariel Bildsten, drummer Alvester Garnett, pianist Caili O'Doherty, and bassist Mary Ann McSweeney. Braden and Bildsten are NJJS Advisors and judges in the scholarship competition.

Ego Actus Theatre Company to Present a Reading Series Showcasing Female Playwrights. (NEW YORK, NY) -- Ego Actus Theatre Company will bring six new plays to life in the Women's Drama Reading Series. Bergen County Players presents "The Game's Afoot: Or Holmes for the Holidays". (ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players is thrilled to continue its 93rd season with Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig's uproarious whodunnit The Game's Afoot: Or Holmes for the Holidays. The limited run opens October 25 and runs through November 15, 2025. The Players Guild of Leonia to hold auditions for "Blithe Spirit". Passage Theatre Company to stage classic Amiri Baraka plays Dutchman and The Slave as two acts of the same show. American Theater Group presents "Our Town" Post-Performance Talkback. Thursday, October 30 - American Dream to Host Legends Soccer Match. Princeton University Art Museum Announces Inaugural Exhibitions in New Building. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Collects and Toshiko Takaezu: Dialogues in Clay, the inaugural exhibitions in the Princeton University Art Museum's new building, will premiere to the public on October 31, 2025, during the Museum's 24-Hour opening celebration. As befits a moment of such monumental reshaping, the building will open with a focus on the Museum's collections, including recent gifts and promised gifts of art as well as the story of how the collections have been shaped since their origins in the 1750s.
