Greenwood Gardens presents Music in the Garden Concert Series

(SHORT HILLS, NJ) -- Greenwood Gardens is thrilled to announce its upcoming Music in the Garden Concert Series. With performances in May, July, and September, the program is composed of outdoor concerts featuring jazz and classical music, as well as the Great American Songbook, set in an enchanted garden setting. Stone Mountain Properties of Short Hills is sponsoring the Series for the fourth year.

Classic American Tales presents "Tales at the Dormer House"

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 12 through October 16, 2025, Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents "Tales at the Dormer House" in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories by American authors. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting. Otherwise, they will be inside. Cost is only $12.00, cash at the door, and guests at The Dormer House and children ages 12 and under are free.

Catching Up with Author Paul Bomba

Paul Bomba came of age in Asbury Park during the No Lifeguard on Duty era and brings personal insights to a story set in an historic time and place. In the book, three unlikely teenage friends struggle with family conflicts and their racial, cultural and class identities while Asbury Park erupted with racial unrest in July 1970. The idea came to him as a teenager, and it traveled with him when he graduated from Asbury High (class of 1974), and through careers in academia and business.



Surflight Theatre presents "Buddy, the Buddy Holly Story!"

(BEACH HAVEN, NJ) -- Surflight Theatre brings back the Broadway hit musical Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story! from August 19 to September 7, 2025. Collin Yates stars as Buddy Holly in this journey through the legendary musician's life over the years (1936-1959, respectively). It is Collin's first time on the Surflight Theatre stage.

Set in a time of deadly civil division, Shakespeare's masterful tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, continues to hold up a heartbreaking mirror to our world. In a society ravaged by hate and violence, two young people unexpectedly find love. Isaac Hickox-Young and Billie Wyatt play the fateful couple in Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's production. Directed by Artistic Director Emerita Bonnie J. Monte, the production runs from September 10 through October 5, 2025.



Steve Forbert to Play Two Shows in New Jersey

Steve Forbert is touring in support of his wonderful album, Daylight Savings Time, and has a pair of shows coming up in New Jersey. He will be performing in Matawan's Terhune Park on Thursday, August 28th and at Stangl Stage in Flemington on Friday, September 12, 2025.
