The Barn Theatre Of Montville Presents "A 21st Century Christmas Carol"

(MONTVILLE, NJ) -- The Barn Theatre of Montville, New Jersey will be presenting "A 21st Century Christmas Carol", written by Lori M. Myers. Performances will be on December 7th at 11:00am and 2:00pm, and December 8th at 2:00pm. All tickets are $10 per person. This fun little holiday show is a special event specifically for families and children.


Gas Lamp Teen Players Present "Newsies"

(GLEN RIDGE, NJ) -- The Gas Lamp Teen Players will perform their Fall Mainstage show, Disney’s Newsies - The Broadway Musical, during four shows from December 6-8  at the Ridgewood Avenue School Theater in Glen Ridge. Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman, and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. Featuring the now classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family and every audience.


JCTC Presents LaCaja to Close 2019 Voices: International Theater Festival

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) closes the first annual Voices: International Theater Festival with the Jersey City premier of La Caja (The Box), an immersive experience by Los Escultores del Aire, a Barcelona-based theater company that has toured internationally. JCTC Presents back-to-back performances of La Caja on Tuesday December 10 & Wednesday December 11 (both at 8:00pm) at Merseles Studios.

The Pipes Of Christmas To Perform In NY/NJ

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Pipes of Christmas will celebrate its 21st season with performances in New Jersey and New York this December. The holiday favorite opens on Saturday, December 14 at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, located at 921 Madison Avenue (at 73rd Street) for a 2:00pm performance. The concert moves across the Hudson River on Sunday, December 15 to Central Presbyterian Church located at 70 Maple Street in Summit, NJ with performances at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.


Guerilla Toss To Open For Rubblebucket On New Year's Eve At White Eagle Hall

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Guerilla Toss will close out 2019 by opening for Rubblebucket at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City on Tuesday, December 31 at 9:00pm.  Guerilla Toss is an art rock band with funk and dance influences currently based out of New York City. Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra Presents Annual Holiday Concert

(PLAINSBORO, NJ) -- The award-winning Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra is presenting its annual Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 7:00pm.  The Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra consists of professional musicians, high-level amateurs, university students, and gifted pre-college students. Local high school string quartet to join touring Beatles vs. Stones show on Lakewood stage

(LAKEWOOD, NJ) --  When the touring show Beatles vs. Stones – A Musical Showdown comes to the Strand Center for the Arts on Tuesday, December 10, a string quartet comprised of students from two Toms River high schools will join the professional musicians on stage to lend some local talent to this homage to the British Invasion.  The show pits Rolling Stones tribute band Satisfaction against rival Brit boys Abbey Road in an all-out musical showdown for rock dominance. The string quartet will perform seven songs with the bands.

City of Newark Passes Municipal Ordinance To Lease City-Owned Land To Non-Profits For Artistic, Educational & Cultural Programs

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The City of Newark passed a Municipal Ordinance on November 25 that will enable Newark to lease city-owned property to nonprofit organizations to use for arts, culture, and educational programs, at a token $1-per-year rent. The tenant organizations are barred from using these lands for any commercial, political, partisan, or sectarian purpose.

Jazz Concert at Trenton City Museum will Feature the Joe Baione Vibraphone Experience

(TRENTON, NJ) -- Trenton City Museum will present a free jazz concert Friday, July 18, 2025 at the museum's Ellarslie Mansion in Cadwalader Park.
