(NEW YORK, NY) — South Jersey filmmaker E.B. Hughes will have the World Premiere screening of his psychological thriller, Bloodhound, at the SOHO International Film Festival on Friday, October 9, 2026 at the Regal Union Square Theater 12. The screening begins at 7:30pm.
Exiled to a deceptively quiet town, a fractured former big-city detective tracks a sadistic killer only to realize the local secrets are weaponizing his own deteriorating sanity against him as he uncovers the truth.
The entire film was shot right against the stark, atmospheric winter backdrops of Avalon and Sea Isle City, capturing the unique, moody isolation of the off-season Jersey shore in a cinematic 2.39 widescreen format.

The production is anchored by a stellar veteran ensemble cast, including Stelio Savante (The Chosen, Infidel), Corin Nemec (Stargate SG-1), Randy McDowell, and Hannah Fierman (V/H/S)
Bloodhound was written, produced and directed by E.B. Hughes. This is his fourth independent feature following Turnabout (2016), Exit 0 (2019), and The Long Way Back (2021).
The SOHO International Film Festival celebrates the cutting-edge of digital technology while honoring traditional forms of storytelling, encourages new and seasoned filmmakers from New York City to around the globe to create and send in their fresh and innovative cinematic pieces. This year's festival runs from October 7-13, 2026

Popa Chubby has been hard rocking the blues in his fierce and soulful way for more than 30 years. Over the course of a career that dates back to 1994, he has been a force to be reckoned with on the guitar, and his tempestuous, soulful playing has never been more powerful. An imposing figure with a shaved head, tattooed arms, a goatee and a performance style he describes as “the Stooges meets Buddy Guy, Motörhead meets Muddy Waters, and Jimi Hendrix meets Robert Johnson," Popa Chubby is an endearing character who is one of the genre’s most popular figures.
