Author Brad S. Horwin’s debut novel, Immediate Gratification, is now available in paperback on Amazon. The book offers readers a high-octane, brutally honest, and sharp-witted narrative exploring ambition, impulse, and the consequences of living life without the brakes on.
Brad S. Horwin’s life is a string of impossible nights: beach bungalows at Belmar, psychotropic experiments at Ohio University, the electric highs of Plato’s Retreat and Studio 54, and a strong of small-time grifts and dangerous romances that double as rites of passage. From the burn scar that reshapes his body and ego to the adolescent bravado that becomes decades of appetite. The brutally honest voice of someone who’s tasted everything and still wants to know what he missed.
Set against the backdrop of a raw and unscripted New York City, Immediate Gratification blends dark comedy, nostalgia, and fast-paced adventure. Early readers have praised the book as a vivid journey into a bygone era, with one reviewer calling it "not so much a memoir about Brad’s early adulthood as it is a requiem for a NYC that is no more."
"I wanted to capture the wild, unpredictable energy of a time before everything was polished and hyper-connected," says author Brad S. Horwin. "Immediate Gratification is about making split-second choices, navigating the fallout, and telling the unfiltered truth about what it really means to live life on the edge."
Brad S. Horwin is a first-time author who has long been passionate about his life story. Brad currently resides in sunny Naples, Florida with his wife, Cathy.

Popa Chubby has been hard rocking the blues in his fierce and soulful way for more than 30 years. Over the course of a career that dates back to 1994, he has been a force to be reckoned with on the guitar, and his tempestuous, soulful playing has never been more powerful. An imposing figure with a shaved head, tattooed arms, a goatee and a performance style he describes as “the Stooges meets Buddy Guy, Motörhead meets Muddy Waters, and Jimi Hendrix meets Robert Johnson," Popa Chubby is an endearing character who is one of the genre’s most popular figures.
