(LEONIA, NJ) -- The Players Guild of Leonia has announced that A Dozen Roses, an original musical with book by Marc Leland, music and lyrics by Joshua Z. Kantz, and produced by Rachel Alt, has been selected as the premiere production of the Guild's new Artist Incubator – Theater Workshop.
This exciting one-night workshop presentation will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, showcasing excerpts from this new original musical as part of the Guild's commitment to developing and celebrating new theatrical works. Showtime is 8:00pm.
Twelve women. One audition. One last chance to discover that "almost" isn't the end of the story.
The cast includes: Diane Arabella, Staci Block, Loretta Carlen, Nancy Feldman, Megan Larson, Claudia MacDermott, Nick Nappo, Joanne Moldt, Skye Monroe, Suzanne Renaud, Joplin James Sell, Jodi Reiss, Cheryl Woertz, and Sara Zahn.

Founded in 1919, the Players Guild of Leonia is a non-profit, resident acting company at the Civil War Drill Hall Theater (built in 1859). We are New Jersey's oldest continuing community theater group, and five minutes from the George Washington Bridge and a short bus ride from Manhattan. Our historic Civil War Drill Hall Theater is located at 130 Grand Avenue in Leonia, surrounded by the towns of Englewood, Fort Lee, Palisades Park and Teaneck, New Jersey.
Since bringing home the Gold and Silver medals at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Laurie Hernandez has gone on to win the coveted Mirror Ball trophy on “Dancing with the Stars” Season 23 and her first book titled “I Got This: To Gold and Beyond” chronicling her journey thus far was published in 2017, hitting the New York Times Best Sellers list. In 2018, she released a children’s picture book “She’s Got This,” also a New York Times Best Seller, while serving as a Literary Champion to promote readership as a path to leadership, and Mattel created Laurie Hernandez “Shero” Barbie to honor her.
