(POMPTON LAKES, NJ) -- Rage! Sex! Betrayal! BLOODY MURDER! Lizzie is a rock-show retelling of the bloody legend of America's first and favorite axe-wielding double-murderess and hometown girl, Lizzie Borden. StageWorks Theatre Group presents Lizzie with two casts weekends from September 24 to October 11, 2026.
In the heat of late summer 1892, Andrew Borden and his wife are found murdered in their house. The main suspect? Andrew’s youngest daughter from a previous marriage: Lizzie Borden. This all-woman musical sets American mythology to a searing rock score – complete with riffs on the historical record – to explore the heady and heated days leading up to the historical murder and Lizzie’s controversial acquittal of all charges.
On September 24, 25, 27; October 1, 4, 8, the cast includes Korina Stelzenmueller (Lizzie Borden), Ann Alfano (Emma Borden), Karina Munoz (Bridget Sullivan), and Eden Mendez (Alice Russell).
On September 26; October 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, the cast includes Grace Ahlin (Lizzie Borden), Carleigh Boyle (Emma Borden), Karina Munoz (Bridget Sullivan), and Alyssa Schneider (Alice Russell).
Tickets are available for purchase online. The theater is located at 237 Hamburg Turnpike in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey.
Lizzie premiered in New York City at the Living Theatre in 2009. Miss Borden has since swung her axe in over 100 Productions in 11 countries across 4 continents in 7 languages and has been honored with dozens of awards, including 8 Best Musical Awards… and she’s still swinging!

Dion and his music have long represented a special time and place, reflective of a moment when a song could mean so much. When a singer could sum up what it means to be young, in love and on top of the world. Dion is more than a cherished memory as critic Dave Marsh noted, “Dion is the only artist from the 1950’s who has remained creative and relevant into the 2000s.” In 1958 he had three top-forty hits. In 2008 he was nominated for a Grammy. In 2020, is releasing new studio album Blues with Friends, joined by Joe Bonamassa, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons and many other rock luminaries. In the ’50s he was one of a handful of innovators who defined rock ‘n’ roll and that’s still very much the case.
