PHOTOS from Koe Wetzel at The Rooftop at Pier 17

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Koe Wetzel brought his The Night Champion World Tour to The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City on August 12, 2026. The lineup included Shane Smith and the Saints, Bayker Blankeship, and Logan Jahnke. Photographer Mat Katz was on hand to take photos.

Koe Wetzel never met a genre wall he couldn’t tear down: The Texas singer-songwriter has earned a rabid audience for his songs that mix country, rock, hip-hop, and even Nineties grunge. His latest album, 9 Lives (Columbia) debuted at No. 15 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and No. 5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

Previously, his 2016 album Noise Complaint endeared him to fans with its no-holds-barred lyrics about drunken nights, broken hearts and stints in jail, and included the Gold-certified hits “Love” feat. Parker McCollum, “Something to Talk About” and the infamous “February 28, 2016.”

Wetzel’s 2020 major label debut, Sellout, only furthered his legend with the Platinum-certified “Drunk Driving” and “Good Die Young” plus the Gold-certified “Kuntry & Wistern.” The 2022 follow-up, Hell Paso, hit No. 3 on Billboard’s Country Albums and spawned hits on both the country and rock charts, including the Gold-certified “Creeps” and “Cabo.”

To date, Wetzel has 4.2 billion total streams and has created a genuine experience with his live concerts, which he describes as “total chaos.”

Compagnie

Compagnie HERVE KOUBI

Tuesday, October 06, 2026
@ 7:30pm

State Theatre New Jersey
New Brunswick, NJ

Absolutely unique and utterly original, this fearless, powerful company reigns from France, Algeria, and beyond. Combining contemporary and urban dance movements, capoeira, and martial arts with powerful imagery and inspired choreography, the dancers defy gravity. Inspired by Algerian author Yasmina Khadra’s novel, What The Day Owes To The Night traces Koubi’s own personal lineage as a French-Algerian choreographer. After learning about his family’s Algerian roots, Koubi returned to the country of his ancestors to collaborate with streetdance performers from across the Mediterranean basin. What emerged is “a creation of poetic beauty” (The New York Times), a meditative yet strikingly athletic work about the ties that bind us.
