Here is a look at shows taking place from December 2-8, 2025 along with our featured listings and a look at some upcoming shows. New Jersey Stage offers previews of concerts throughout the Garden State as well as select shows in New York City and Philadelphia areas. Click on the title to go to the full preview. Venues and artists may also send press releases to info@newjerseystage to have their events considered for publication. There is no cost for preview articles. Thursday, December 4 - MPAC presents LeAnn Rimes: Greatest Hits Christmas Tour (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents LeAnn Rimes: Greatest Hits Christmas Tour on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 7:30pm. The international multi-platinum selling superstar has won two Grammy® Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, two World Music Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, two Country Music Association Awards and one Dove Award.

Friday, December 5 - Lizzie Rose Music Room presents David Jacobs-Strain and Bob Beach. (TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents David Jacobs-Strain and Bob Beach on Friday, December 5, 2025. They are a multigenerational, bicoastal duo who have been performing together since 2010. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 7:30pm.

Saturday, December 6 - Remembering Frank Sinatra: A Swellegant Celebration to Take Place in Avon. (AVON-BY-THE-SEA, NJ) -- Remembering Frank Sinatra: A Swellegant Celebration, presented by Karen Morris and The Rat Pack Music Alliance, will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from Noon to 1:45pm, indoors, at the Avon Municipal Building (2 Main Street) in Avon-by-the-Sea. The swingin' program will honor Frank Sinatra's 110th heavenly birthday, with a bit of holiday spirit added. Guest speakers, live music, and surprise giveaways will round out the afternoon festivities.

Saturday, December 6 - Friends of Symphony Hall presents "An Evening of Smooth Jazz" with Gerald Albright. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Friends of Symphony Hall along with Smooth Jazz New Jersey team up to bring adult contemporary music to the newly renovated Terrace Ballroom housed in Newark Symphony Hall. On Saturday, December 6, 2025, they present "An Evening of Smooth Jazz" with Gerald Albright and special guest Bradford Hayes Quartet. Doors are at 6:00pm.

Saturday, December 6 - Split Level Concerts presents Tim Easton and Quincy Mumford at Jersey Shore Arts Center. (OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Following their sold-out season opener with James Maddock, renowned singer/songwriter Tim Easton will perform on Saturday, December 6, 2025, as season 2 of the Split Level Concerts series at Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove continues! Thursday, December 4 - Princeton Symphony Orchestra presents Holiday Brass Chamber Concert at Trinity. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents members of the orchestra in a special Holiday Brass concert, the second installment of its Chamber Series at Trinity, on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 7:00pm. The performance includes traditional holiday selections arranged for brass quintet with popular tunes by Albert Hague, Vince Guaraldi, Sammy Kahn, Johnny Marks, and Leroy Anderson.

Thursday, December 4 - Clements Place Jazz presents the Pete Rodríguez Latin Jazz Sextet on December 4th. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Clements Place Jazz presents the Pete Rodríguez Latin Jazz Sextet on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 7:30pm-10:00pm. Come experience the dynamic fusion of Nuyorican salsa and Afro-Cuban jazz with multi-talented musician Pete Rodríguez.

Friday, December 5 - The Light We Give: A Holiday Readings & Carols Concert by the New Jersey Youth Chorus. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The New Jersey Youth Chorus (NJYC), a program of Wharton Arts, invites the community to The Light We Give, a concert woven with warmth and tradition. The concert takes place Friday, December 5, 2025 at Morristown United Methodist Church. Showtime is 7:30pm.

Friday, December 5 - Chanticleer presents Holiday Shows in Newark and NYC. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Vocal ensemble Chanticleer offers a truly sublime holiday listening experience with debut Delos album Joy to the World complemented by an extensive US Christmas tour including two local stops: St. Ignatius Loyola Church in NYC on December 5th & 7th with a show at NJPAC in Newark on December 6, 2025 in between.

Saturday, December 6 - Human Nature presents "CHRISTMAS. MOTOWN. And MORE" at Golden Nugget Atlantic City. (ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Australian chart topping pop stars and Las Vegas headliners Human Nature present "CHRISTMAS. MOTOWN. And MORE" at Golden Nugget Atlantic City on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 9:00pm. It's a soulful celebration for the festive season.

Saturday, December 6 - Chris Pinnella Announces 2025 Christmas Tour with a 15-piece Orchestra. Get ready to ignite your holiday spirit! Acclaimed vocalist Chris Pinnella, known for his electrifying performances with Trans-Siberian Orchestra, is once again bringing the joy of the season to life with his annual multi-city Christmas Tour. Joined by his magnificent 15-piece orchestra, Pinnella will deliver an unforgettable evening of powerful vocals, lush orchestrations, and festive cheer.

Saturday, December 6 - Welcome the Holidays with Song: Enjoy Musical Magic with New Jersey's finest choruses. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Ring in the holidays with seasonal music from some of New Jersey's top choral arts organizations beginning with The Somerset Hills Chorus conducted by Stephen Sands on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 5:00pm at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Morristown. The program will feature a selection of Christmas music featuring Francis Poulenc's Gloria with organ, brass and soprano soloist, Kristin Sands. Saturday, December 6 - Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey Holiday Pops Concert Features Broadway Star Rachel Potter. (VOORHEES, NJ) -- The Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey will be joined in its annual Holiday Pops concerts by celebrated Broadway star Rachel Potter on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Republic Bank Performing Arts Center in Sewell, NJ, and Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, NJ. The orchestra will play under the baton of PSNJ Conductor Laureate Matthew Oberstein. Showtime for both concerts is 3:00pm.

Saturday, December 6 - A Swingin' Sleigh Ride: Squirrel Nut Zippers to Hit the Road for the Holidays. (NEWTON, NJ) -- Beloved genre-bending jazz ensemble Squirrel Nut Zippers are bringing their legendary Christmas Caravan Tour back for the 2025 holiday season! With a festive blend of holiday classics, original seasonal fare, and the band's signature fusion of early American jazz, swing, and vaudeville, this annual fan-favorite tour promises to, once again, spread yuletide joy across the country. The tour comes to The Newton Theatre on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Saturday, December 6 - The Vogel presents LaBamba's Holiday Hurrah. (RED BANK, NJ) -- The Vogel presents LaBamba's Holiday Hurrah on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 4:00pm. The show returns to the Count Basie Center where this special event first started back in 1983! Richie "Labamba" Rosenberg hosts this Annual Holiday Show leading the All-Star Hurrah Big Band featuring a giant horn section through Holiday classics and Labamba favorites!

Saturday, December 6 - New Jersey Festival Orchestra presents Return of the Holiday Tenors. (WESTFIELD, NJ) -- New Jersey Festival Orchestra presents Return of the Holiday Tenors in Westfield and Madison from December 6-7, 2025. NJFO's festive holiday celebration features award-winning tenors, special guests, and seasonal favorites in a symphonic spectacular that brings the magic of the season to life.

Sunday, December 7 - Community Chorale Brings Together Kean Students, Alumni and Local Residents. When Director of Choral and Vocal Activities Rachel Carlson began her journey at Kean University four years ago, she envisioned creating stronger connections between the University and the surrounding community. That vision came to life in Spring 2022 with the launch of the Kean Community Chorale, an ensemble that unites students, alumni, faculty, staff and local residents in a shared celebration of music.

Sunday, December 7 - UCPAC presents Cherish the Ladies Celtic Christmas Concert on December 7th. (RAHWAY, NJ) -- The Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) presents Cherish the Ladies Celtic Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 7, 2025. This holiday season, Cherish the Ladies present their beloved Celtic Christmas program—a festive, family-friendly concert filled with holiday cheer and Irish spirit. Showtime is 3:00pm.

Sunday, December 7 - The Future of Jazz Orchestra presents Home for the Holidays at Bell Theater. (HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Kick off the holiday season with Home for the Holidays featuring the Future of Jazz Orchestra, presented in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center, at Bell Theater at Bell Works on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 3:00pm. Under the musical direction of Joe Block, you can expect to hear refreshing takes of your favorite holiday tunes.

Sunday, December 7 - Guitarists Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo Bring Their 'Joyful Jamming' to Madison. In the 1970s and '80s, the New Jersey Jazz Society held summer festivals at Waterloo Village in Stanhope, NJ, sometimes as part of a New Jersey arm of the Newport Jazz Festival in New York. Guitarist Frank Vignola remembers playing there 40 years ago, as a 19-year-old, with such guitar giants as Bucky Pizzarelli and Tal Farlow. "There were also other legends," he recalled, "like (pianist) Jay McShann and (bassist) Milt Hinton. So, I sort of got my start with the New Jersey Jazz Society."

The American Ride (Toby Keith Tribute) comes to Stafford Township Arts Center  (MANAHAWKIN, NJ) -- SF Entertainment presents The American Ride (Toby Keith Tribute) on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at The Stafford Township Arts Center. They are one of the most acclaimed tribute acts in the country music scene, delivering the full-throttle patriotism, swagger, and sound of Toby Keith himself. Showtime is 7:30pm.

Jazz at Berrie Center: NY Voices Spend One More Year Together  Vocal groups hold an underappreciated place in the jazz idiom. 'Jazz-heads' (read: snobs) often dismiss them as trite or pop-oriented, perhaps likening them to a college a cappella troupe or disdaining them as antiquated. The New York Voices are far from that. They are serious musicians, advancing jazz music while honoring its past. The group is part of a lineage of jazz vocal groups that have celebrated the music as far back as its creation. For the past several decades, they have been the gold standard for the sub-genre.

Drew University hosts John Mellencamp and Bad Company Tribute Bands  (MADISON, NJ) -- Looking for something beyond the usual holiday fare? Skip the carolers and cookie-cutter concerts—on Sunday, December 14, 2025, The Concert Hall at Drew University transforms into a powerhouse of festive rock. One stage, one unforgettable night: Tommy Scro's Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy and Human Wheels, led by Rob Santa, unite for a double-header tribute to two American rock legends. Showtime is 6:00pm.

Christ Church in Short Hills presents Special Holiday Concert  (SHORT HILLS, NJ) -- Christ Church in Short Hills will present a Special Holiday Concert featuring George Frideric Handel's Messiah (Part 1) on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 4:00pm. The performance, conducted by guest conductor and Christ Church parishioner George Mathew, will feature the Christ Church Festival Choir, Orchestra, Organ and vocal soloists.

Country Artist Jessica Lynn brings her "A Very Merry Classic Christmas" to New Jersey  (WAYNE, NJ) -- Acclaimed Brooklyn-born country artist, Jessica Lynn, is bringing her annual Christmas spectacular: "A Very Merry Classic Christmas" to three venues in New Jersey from December 17-21, 2025. She will be performing shows in Wayne, West Long Branch, and Newton during the ninth run of her holiday show.

Rialto Spotlight Series Closes Out 2025 with Westfield Native and Touring Drummer Lucy Ritter  (WESTFIELD, NJ) -- The Rialto Center for Creativity's Spotlight Series closes out 2025 with a high-energy evening featuring Lucy Ritter, a professional drummer whose remarkable career has taken her from local stages in Westfield to sold-out tours around the world. The event will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the Rialto Center for Creativity. Showtime is 7:00pm.

The Vogel presents The Smithereens with special guest vocalist John Cowsill  (RED BANK, NJ) -- The Vogel presents The Smithereens with special guest vocalist John Cowsill on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 8:00pm. Since their formation in Carteret, New Jersey in 1980, The Smithereens have earned a reputation as one of America's most enduring rock bands.

The Newton Theatre presents From Good Homes  (NEWTON, NJ) -- From Good Homes returns to The Newton Theatre for shows on December 19-20, 2025 at 8:00pm each night. The genesis of the band dates back to a high school when childhood friends Todd Sheaffer, Brady Rymer, and Patrick Fitzsimmons came together in rural, Northwestern NJ to play some music.

Lizzie Rose Music Room presents two shows by Steve Forbert  (TUCKERTON, NJ) -- Steve Forbert is touring in support of his wonderful album, Daylight Savings Time, and has a pair of shows coming up at the Lizzie Rose Music Room on December 19-20, 2025. The first night is sold out, but a limited number of tickets are available for the second night.

Newark Symphony Hall Kicks Off Centennial Year with Holidays at the Hall: DJ D-Nice and Jazz Legend Gerald Albright Lead Star-Studded Celebrations  (NEWARK, NJ) -- Newark Symphony Hall kicks off a year-long centennial celebration with a slate of holiday programming, including A Merry Club Quarantine (CQ) Christmas Concert featuring DJ D-Nice and an all-star lineup of special guests on Friday, December 19, 2025. DJ D-Nice, the iconic architect behind "Club Quarantine," will headline this holiday dance party, with host Tisha Campbell. They will be joined by special guests NEXT, YG Marley, Kenny Burns, Jaheim, Shirley Jones, Koffee Brown, and more. The doors open at 7:00pm and showtime is 8:00pm.

Water Gap Jazz Orchestra presents Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker and the Grinch Suites at Morris Museum  (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The Water Gap Jazz Orchestra returns to the Morris Museum to perform Duke Ellington's iconic Nutcracker Suite and their very own Grinch Suite. Performances take place Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 3:00pm & 7:00pm.

Sixpence None The Richer presents O'Night Divine: A Sixpence Christmas at SOPAC  (SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Sixpence None the Richer is "coming out swinging" for their first tour in nearly two decades. "O'Night Divine: A Sixpence Christmas" is an evening of Christmas classics delivered in the band's distinctive blend of indie-rock guitars and dynamic vocals. The tour comes to South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 7:30pm.

Light Opera of New Jersey presents annual Holiday Pops Concert on December 21st  (BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- Light Opera of New Jersey (LONJ) presents its annual Holiday Pops Concert on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the Ridge Performing Arts Center in Basking Ridge. The concert, featuring a full orchestra and a program of festive classics, will star acclaimed Soprano Kristin Sampson and Tenor Jeremy Brauner, led by LONJ's Executive Director and Conductor Jason Tramm, with Susan Heerema serving as Concert Master. Showtime is 3:00pm.
