Tuesday, September 9 - MPAC presents George Thorogood & The Destroyers. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents George Thorogood & The Destroyers on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 7:30pm. The band has been a staple on rock radio for 50 years. Canyon Lights will open the night. Limited tickets remain.

Wednesday, September 10 - State Theatre presents Howard Jones with special guest Haircut One Hundred featuring Richard Blade. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- New Wave is making a stop at State Theatre New Jersey with Howard Jones, Haircut One Hundred, and Richard Blade on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Hear hits from Howard Jones like "No One is to Blame," "What is Love?," "New Song," and "Things Can Only Get Better." Joining Jones is Haircut One Hundred, who burned bright in the early '80s with songs like "Fantastic Day" and "Love Plus One," and DJ Richard Blade (KROQ, Los Angeles; Video One; MV3; VideoBeat). Showtime is 7:00pm.

Friday, September 12 - Outpost in the Burbs presents Ron Sexsmith with opener Ed Seifert. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Outpost in the Burbs presents acclaimed singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith on Friday, September 12, 2025 at the First Congregational Church (40 South Fullerton Avenue) in Montclair. New Jersey-based singer-songwriter Ed Seifert will open the show. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Friday, September 12 - Makin Waves with The Nelsons: 'A Jersey Family'. From the moment they burst onto the scene with their self-penned 1990 debut album, "After the Rain," Matthew and Gunnar Nelson -- twin sons of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ricky Nelson -- captivated audiences with their striking good looks and trademark long blonde hair. However, it was their exceptional songwriting and commercially savvy rock sound that catapulted them to stardom, solidifying their status as third-generation torchbearers of the Nelson family legacy that also produced "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" television and radio shows.

Saturday, September 13 - A Chat with 10cc's Graham Gouldman Who Performs at Carteret PAC. One of the most innovative bands in pop music, 10cc, will perform live on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Carteret Performing Arts and Events Center in Carteret, NJ. The British band's Ultimate, Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour 2025 is an extension of the group's first US tour in over three decades.

Saturday, September 13 - Grunin Center for the Arts presents CeCe Teneal's Divas of Soul. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Grunin Center for the Arts presents CeCe Teneal's Divas of Soul on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 7:00pm. This spectacular celebration of thirty years of chart-topping music from artists like Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, and more has wowed audiences worldwide.

Saturday, September 13 - The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents Dana Fuchs. (TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents Dana Fuchs on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 7:30pm. Fuchs who starred in the off-Broadway musical Love, Janis, stands at the crossroads of blues and rock, a fierce voice in modern roots music.

Saturday, September 13 - State Theatre New Jersey presents EagleMania. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Eaglemania - The World's Greatest Eagles Tribute Band on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 8:00pm. A limited number of tickets remain.

Wednesday, September 10 - Prudential Center presents Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace with special guest Return to Dust. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Multi-platinum rock bands Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace are joining forces for a 2025 co-headline tour across the U.S., featuring special guest Return To Dust, which includes a stop at Prudential Center in Newark on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Breaking Benjamin will close each night of the tour.

Wednesday, September 10 - The Darkness to Tour North America including Show at Irving Plaza. Multi-platinum UK rock legends THE DARKNESS – singer/guitarist Justin Hawkins, guitarist Dan Hawkins, bassist Frankie Poullain, drummer Rufus Taylor — are hitting the road in support of their latest album Dreams On Toast (released March 28th via Cooking Vinyl). The Darkness will ignite stages across North America from August 29 through September 21. The tour then resumes on November 7 and wraps on November 22, 2025. The tour comes to the area on September 10th with a show at Irving Plaza in New York City.

Thursday, September 11 - Levoy Theatre presents Sheena Easton. (MILLVILLE, NJ) -- On Thursday, September 11, 2025, Sheena Easton will perform at the Levoy Theatre. Easton, whose career has spanned nearly five decades, has sold over 20 million records worldwide. Doors are at 6:00pm, showtime is 7:00pm.

Thursday, September 11 - Prudential Center presents Uncle Charlie's R&B Cookout featuring Charlie Wilson, Babyface, K-Ci Hailey, and El Debarge. (NEWARK, NJ) -- R&B icon Charlie Wilson is bringing the ultimate soul-infused celebration to fans this summer with his Uncle Charlie's R&B Cookout Tour, produced by Live Nation Urban and P Music Group featuring an all-star lineup of legendary acts including Babyface, K-Ci Hailey and El DeBarge. The nationwide tour includes a stop at Prudential Center on Thursday, September 11, 2025 delivering an unforgettable night of timeless hits, powerhouse vocals, and feel-good vibes.

Friday, September 12 - PettyBreakers Return to Strand Theater in September. (LAKEWOOD, NJ) -- Get ready for an electrifying night of classic rock as the PettyBreakers, "The World's Greatest Tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers!" (AXS-tv), return to the Strand Theater in Lakewood, NJ on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 8:00pm.

Friday, September 12 - SOPAC presents Stephane Wrembel Quartet. (SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Stephane Wrembel Quartet will perform at South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) on Friday, September 12, 2025. Wrembel is a virtuoso guitarist hailed as "a revelation" by Rolling Stone and celebrated for reinventing gypsy jazz with a modern edge and boundless creativity. Showtime is 7:30pm.

Friday, September 12 - Tropicana Atlantic City presents George Thorogood & The Destroyers. (ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Tropicana Atlantic City presents George Thorogood & The Destroyers on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 9:00pm. The band has been a staple on rock radio for 50 years.

Saturday, September 13 - 2025 Hudson West Fest to Take Place September 13th. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The Hudson West Fest is excited to announce the lineup for its 8th annual roots music festival and is sweetening the pot with the news that all ticket fees will be dropped this year. The event will occur on Saturday, September 13, 2025, and will feature 10 music performers on both indoor and outdoor stages. The expanded street fair will include vendors, artisans, family activities, and dancing. The organizers will also present four music-based workshops (topics to be announced soon) at no cost. An indoor bar and food options will be available to the public.

Saturday, September 13 - Drew University Rocks the House with Legendary Tributes and Live Comedy In September. (MADISON, NJ) -- This September, Drew University's Concert Hall in Madison will transform into a powerhouse of live entertainment, delivering six unforgettable nights of tributes and laughter. Saturday, September 13 - Newton Theatre presents The Red Hot Chilli PIPERS. (NEWTON, NJ) -- The Red Hot Chilli PIPERS return to The Newton Theatre on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 8:00pm. These are bagpipes with attitude. Drums with a Scottish accent. A blazing rock band and show so hot, it carries its own health warning.

Saturday, September 13 - 2025 Montclair Jazz Festival to Take Place September 13th. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- The nationally-recognized nonprofit organization JAZZ HOUSE KiDS has announced the full lineup of the MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL Downtown Jamboree and Block Party, taking place in downtown Montclair on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

Sunday, September 14 - "The World of Hans Zimmer - A New Dimension" comes to Prudential Center in September. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Hans Zimmer presents The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension, a 24-city arena tour debuting in North America this fall, following a tremendously successful European run of the internationally acclaimed production in 2024. The newly staged live show will visit Prudential Center on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 7:30pm for one show only, and features Zimmer's brand-new arrangement of the two-time Academy Award® winner's diverse collection of scores, precisely synchronized with epic film sequences.

Monday, September 15 - Celebrate a "Century of Soundtracks" with Dakota & Elle Vocal Duo Concert at the Ocean County Library’s Waretown Branch. (WARETOWN, NJ) -- Looking to enjoy a spectacular evening of music? Take part in celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Ocean County Library with a concert by vocal duo Dakota & Elle featuring iconic songs from popular movies on Monday, September 15, 2025 at the Waretown Branch of the Ocean County Library. Tito Puente Jr. to Headline Outdoor Hispanic Heritage Concert at Westfield Garden State Plaza  (PARAMUS, NJ) -- Westfield Garden State Plaza will honor Hispanic Heritage Month on September 19, 2025 with the return of Salsa Night, featuring world-renowned Latin performer Tito Puente, Jr., son of legendary mambo musician Tito Puente. Jersey Arts Podcast: Experience the Essence of Jazz with Grammy-Winner, Evan Sherman  New Jersey-native and GRAMMY-winning drummer, Evan Sherman, returns to the Back Deck after three years of sold-out performances. In 2025, Evan spent another year touring and performing internationally at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Paris Philharmonie, and Royal Albert Hall playing drums and writing arrangements for vocal sensation, Samara Joy who was a surprise guest at last year's Back Deck concert.

Centenary Stage Company to Kick Off 2025-26 Season with John Lloyd Young  (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company's 2025-26 Season will kick off with a Curtain Up! concert performance by John Lloyd Young on Saturday, September 20 at 8:00pm. This starts a celebration of their 40th season of performing arts in Hackettstown. John Lloyd Young is a Tony and Grammy winner, multi-Platinum recording artist and Presidential Appointee.

Irving Plaza presents Kula Shaker  (NEW YORK, NY) -- Prime purveyors of psychedelia and one of the biggest U.K. bands of the '90s, Kula Shaker are back and stronger than ever before. The band released the single "Broke As Folk" on August 1st and will perform at Irving Plaza in New York City on Monday, September 22, 2025 as part of their North American tour.

Lizzie Rose Music Room presents Selwyn Birchwood  (TUCKERTON, NJ) -- Award-winning Florida bluesman Selwyn Birchwood returns to the Lizzie Rose Music Room in Tuckerton on Monday, September 22, 2025. Birchwood's 2023 album, Exorcist , is his fourth Alligator Records release. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 7:30pm.

Wellmont Theater presents The Revivalists  (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- RIAA multi-Platinum certified rock band The Revivalists are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their breakthrough 2015 album, Men Amongst Mountains, with the 10th Anniversary Edition of the album and a US headlinging tour. Locally the tour comes to the Wellmont Theater on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm. Nolan Taylor will open the night.

2025 Middlesex County Jazz Festival to Take Place September 24-28  (MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ) -- The Middlesex County Jazz Festival will, for the third year in a row, present four free Jazz concerts in four Middlesex County towns, September 24-28, 2025. The producing organizations include the Borough of Carteret; the Metuchen Arts Council along with the Friends of Metuchen Arts; the New Brunswick Jazz Project; and Woodbridge Arts. This year’s offerings spotlight women in jazz as well as several of the towns excellent high school music programs. An important mission of MCJF is to promote music education.

25 Years Of Bayside: The Errors Tour comes to The Stone Pony  (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Esteemed punk band Bayside is celebrating their 25th anniversary with 25 years Of Bayside: The Errors Tour. With support by The Sleeping, the tour comes to The Stone Pony for shows on Wednesday, September 24th and Thursday, September 25th with songs from different albums performed each night. Doors are at 6:30pm.

William Paterson University presents Micky Dolenz of The Monkees Songs & Stories  (WAYNE, NJ) -- William Paterson University presents Micky Dolenz of The Monkees Songs & Stories on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Shea Center for Performing Arts. Showtime is 8:00pm.

The Newton Theatre presents Hollywood Nights - The Bob Seger Experience  (NEWTON, NJ) -- Hollywood Nights - The Bob Seger Experience comes to The Newton Theatre on Friday, September 26, 2025. This is the ultimate tribute to Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm.

Latin Legends Tribute to Shakira and Selena Comes to The Strand Theater  (LAKEWOOD, NJ) -- Two of the most iconic voices in Latin music history will share the same stage—at least in spirit—when Latin Legends: Tribute to Shakira and Selena arrives at The Strand Center for the Arts on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 8:00pm.

Strand Center for the Arts presents Chicago 9 – The Ultimate Tribute to Chicago  (LAKEWOOD, NJ) -- The iconic horns, unforgettable melodies, and powerful rhythms of Chicago come alive on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 8:00pm, as Chicago 9 – Tribute to Chicago takes the stage at the Strand Center for the Arts in Lakewood. They are widely recognized as the premier Chicago tribute band in the country.

The Landis Theater presents 90s Grunge Night with Pearl Jam and Chris Cornell tribute bands  (VINELAND, NJ) -- The Landis Theater presents a night of 1990s grunge with Last Exit (Pearl Jam tribute) and Disciple of the Garden (Chris Cornell - Soundgarden, Audio Slave tribute) on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 8:00pm.

That's how Pilzer felt when she first heard the Count Basie big band.

New Jersey Festival Orchestra Opens Season with "The Gypsy Spirit"— Two Concerts, Two Unforgettable Programs  (WESTFIELD & BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- The New Jersey Festival Orchestra (NJFO), under the baton of Music Director David Wroe, launches its 2025–26 season with The Gypsy Spirit, a dynamic season-opening celebration presented across two performances: Saturday, September 27 at 7:00pm at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield, and Sunday, September 28 at 3:00pm at the Sieminski Theater in Basking Ridge.
