THIS EVENT HAS PASSED

Ron Sexsmith is a three time Juno award winning songwriter from Ontario, Canada. He has written and recorded an extensive and acclaimed catalog of studio albums and original songs, beginning with his self titled debut in 1995. Ron is set to release his eighteenth studio album in 2025.

In the past few decades as a headlining artist, Ron has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, such as Massey Hall, Carnegie Hall, London’s Royal Albert Hall, as well as The London Palladium. A child of melody, his music has been described as a hybrid of Canadian folk heroes such as Gordon Lightfoot and Leonard Cohen mingled with that of The Kinks, Beatles and other British invasion acts of his formative years.

His songs have been covered by many revered artists such as Rod Stewart, kd Lang, Emmylou Harris, Michael Buble, Feist, Elvis Costello, and Stevie Nicks to name only a few.

In 2017, Ron penned his first novel ‘Deer Life, A Fairy Tale’ published worldwide by Dundurn Press Limited. He has written a ‘yet to be released’ complete musical score to accompany the tale, for his vision to bring the story to the stage as musical theatre or to adapt to film.

Ron will be making his theatrical composer debut in 2025 with the internationally renowned Stratford Festival production of ‘As You Like It’ in Stratford, Ontario, Canada. He currently lives in Perth County, Ontario with his wife, his piano, and his vinyl record collection and continues to be inspired to write, record and perform live worldwide.

About Ed Seifert

Lifelong New Jersey resident Ed Seifert plays guitar (and harmonica if you’re not nice to him) and writes and sings songs of heartbreak and occasional joy. But mostly heartbreak.

You may have seen him with the Campfire Flies or Yung Wu or fronting his own combo, most recently known as Ed Seifert and Oh, The Humanity!

His May single release Great Big World featured no fewer than eighteen well-known performers from all over the Northeast, all of whom are under the weather and unable to join him tonight.

Rock On! This Week's Sound Bites... 07/09/2026

"Very well; and you? We're hoping you can come to The Lizzie Rose on Friday July 31; come as our guest, come enjoy the racket, it's a wonderful room to play," laughed the always jovial Conrad Warre of the Boston based blues/rock band Bees Deluxe as he discussed that upcoming Tuckerton show, their stop at Jamey's House of Music, their upcoming new record, the International Blues Challenge and more.

Frank Hanavan: "Natural & Plus"

Frank Hanavan's Hoboken is wet. In his streetscapes, surfaces glisten. The sky is rarely glowering, but it does seem full; ready to have something to say, or wrapping up something that it is busy saying. The canopy of foliage that hangs over the streetcorners feels saturated with moisture. Even the shadows on the sidewalk are puddle blue. Businesses have their umbrellas open. A few people do, too.
