The Vogel presents Early Elton Trio
 

(RED BANK, NJ) -- The Vogel presents Early Elton Trio on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 7:30pm. Early Elton Trio is a tribute to the Elton John, Dee Murray and Nigel Olsson trio tours of 1970 – 1972 featuring Jeff Kazee (piano, vocals) and John Conte (bass and vocals) from Southside Johnny And The Asbury Jukes (piano, vocals), along with Rich Pagano (drums and vocals) of The Fab Faux.

2nd Annual What A Wonderful Cheer Reception to Take Place at Transparent Clinch Gallery
 

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- "What a Wonderful Year" (WAWY) music festival organizer, Telegraph Hill Records, has announced the return of the "What a Wonderful Cheer" pre-event on December 29, 2023, at Transparent Clinch Gallery from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. This reception is free and open to the public and serves to spotlight the nonprofits that benefit from WAWY ticket sales: The Project Matters (TPM) and "Asbury Park’s Got Talent" producer, Interfaith Neighbors (IFN).

 



Jammin' in the Loft at SOPAC Series Launches with the Lynette Sheard Experience featuring Nat Adderley Jr.
 

(SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Experience your favorite bands up close and personal in SOPAC's new Jammin' in the Loft series. Curated by Gregory Burrus Productions, this series brings talented local bands taking the local music scene by force to the next level with an intimate and energetic experience in The Loft at SOPAC. The first event in this new series takes place on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 featuring the extraordinary Lynette Sheard in her holiday cabaret, joined by Jacquie Lee on violin, Mike Lee on saxophone, and Nat Adderley, Jr. on keys. Guitarist Warren Battiste is a special guest. Showtime is 7:00pm.

 



Algonquin Arts Theatre presents Beginnings: A New Year's Tribute to Chicago
 

(MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre will close out the year with New Year's Eve concerts by Beginnings: a tribute to Chicago. The band will perform an early show at 6:00pm and return for an evening show at 9:00pm.

William Paterson University presents comedian Pete Davidson
 

(WAYNE, NJ) -- William Paterson University presents comedian Pete Davidson on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Shea Center for Performing Arts. Davidson is the creator, executive producer, writer and star of Peacock's critically acclaimed comedy "Bupkis" and was a cast member on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" from 2014-2022, where his singular Weekend Update features and original music videos garnered millions of views. Showtime is 10:00pm.

Just as art historians have explored how past art movements impacted future movements, visitors of the show can also witness in real time the subtle shifts between past artists, mid-career artists, and young artists whose works all exist in the same space.
