Tuesday, August 29, 2023 - The Pretenders to Play Nine Intimate Venues includes Bowery Ballroom and Stone Pony. (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The Pretenders have announced a very special US headline tour, set to visit a series of intimate venues across the country beginning August 16 at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom and then continuing into early October. The tour includes a stop at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

Tuesday, August 29, 2023 - West Windsor Arts presents Ode to New Jersey Art Show. (PRINCETON JUNCTION, NJ) -- The Ode to New Jersey Art Show at West Windsor Arts celebrates the unique connections that artists have to the dynamic and ever changing state of New Jersey. The exhibition will run from August 29th to October 28th, with a free opening reception on Friday, September 8th from 7:00pm-8:30pm at West Windsor Arts.

Wednesday, August 30, 2023 - The Black Box continues Edward Albee: From A to Zoo series with "Malcolm". (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Black Box, Northern NJ's incubator for new and under produced works from world-class artists, in association with The Estate of Edward Albee, presents Edward Albee: From A To Zoo, An Exclusive Stage Reading Series of Edward Albee's Plays. Next up is Malcolm (1966) on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 7:30pm.

Wednesday, August 30, 2023 - RVCC Holocaust Institute to Host New Exhibit, Online Programs Addressing Cambodian Genocide. (BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- School and community groups are invited to schedule a free tour of an exhibition, "Three Years, Eight Months, and Twenty Days: The Cambodian Atrocities and the Search for Justice," on display August 30 through December 20, 2023 at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg. The exhibition, on loan from the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, is being hosted by the Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at RVCC.

Thursday, August 31, 2023 - "HeartBeats": Drumming for Adults at Ocean County Library Beachwood Branch. (BEACHWOOD, NJ) -- The Ocean County Library Beachwood Branch will present "HeartBeats: Drumming for Adults," a fun and empowering interactive program, on Thursday, August 31. The event begins at 11:00am.

Friday, September 1, 2023 - Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival Returns to Salem County. A tradition of more than 50 years returns to the Salem County Fairgrounds, located at 735 Harding Highway in Woodstown, this Labor Day Weekend. The Delaware County Bluegrass Festival has been held since 1972, and in South Jersey since the 1990s. This year's 51st annual festival will take place Sept. 1-3 and is sure to bring a jamming good time to all in attendance.  

Friday, September 1, 2023 - Ocean County Library Berkeley Branch to Feature Kaylee McGrath's "Majestic Nature and Landscapes" in September. (BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ocean County Library Berkeley Branch presents "Majestic Nature and Landscapes," a photo exhibit by Kaylee McGrath and Red Rose Kay Photography and Multimedia, throughout the month of September.

Friday, September 1, 2023 - New Sweden Colony Exhibit and Presentation Coming to Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch. (SURF CITY, NJ) -- Throughout the month of September, the Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch will feature historian Erik L. Burro's engaging, colorful display of informative panels and contemporary photographs that highlight the New Sweden colony, South Jersey’s earliest colonial settlement.

Saturday, September 2, 2023 - Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin performance to benefit Make-A-Wish New Jersey. (SPRING LAKE, NJ) -- On Saturday, September 2, 2023, Spring Lake Community House & Theatre will host an exciting, one-night only performance, A Night At The Sands... Starring Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin. The one-act live on-stage event will benefit Make-A-Wish New Jersey, whose mission is to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. There will be a Cocktail Hour at 6:30pm with the performance beginning at 7:30pm.

Saturday, September 2, 2023 - Sherman Theater presents Stroudfest 2023. (STROUDSBURG, PA) -- The Sherman Theater presents the 17th annual Labor Day Festival on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 11:00 am to 6:00pm. The annual community festival will take place in Downtown Stroudsburg. This one-day event offers live music on multiple stages, over 200 food, arts and crafts and retail vendors, and community organizations with special offers and displays that line Main Street between 5th and 9th Streets. Attendees can also enjoy the eclectic specialty shops and art galleries downtown as well as the restaurants and wineries.

Saturday, September 2, 2023 - Riverside Gallery presents "Amalgamation of Voices". (HACKENSACK, NJ) -- Riverside Gallery presents a group exhibition titled, "Amalgamation of Voices" which runs from September 2-23, 2023. The exhibition will feature works involving a diverse range of media by several eclectic group of artists: Diana Soorikian (contemporary figuration), Paula Schiller (contemporary abstraction), Ruth Bauer Neustadter (abstract painting and assemblage/collage), and Rich Keller (photography of cityscapes and landmarks). There will be an opening reception on Saturday, September 2nd from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Create Spectacular Giant Puppets and More for the Illumination 250 Parade, the Largest Public Art Experience in Bergen County

(HACKENSACK, NJ) -- The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation invites the public to participate in the special 'Giant Puppets Workshop Series' led by artists from the internationally acclaimed Processional Arts. The puppets created in the workshop series from August 14 through August 19, 2026 will be featured in a giant puppet parade marching down Main Street in Hackensack during Illumination 250, an all-day arts festival taking place on October 3rd to celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
