Murder on the Orient Express - Whodunnit back in the 1930s and Why'd They Do It?
 

Starting in 1883, the Orient Express was a luxury train that carried passengers between Paris and Istanbul. It was the Rolls Royce of trains. The Orient Express carried the rich and the super rich. It also carried Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses and other assorted royalty.

 



Ritz Theatre Company presents "School of Rock"
 

(HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ritz Theatre Company presents Andrew Lloyd Webber's School of Rock from May 12–28, 2023. Based on the hit movie, the musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school.

Middletown Arts Center Presents 4th MAC ONE-ACTS Play Reading Festival
 

(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The Middletown Arts Center is excited to present the fourth edition of The MAC ONE-ACTS Play-Reading Festival, featuring original, one-act works by New Jersey playwrights read theatrically by local actors. The festival will be held in the MAC's spacious theater on Thursday, May 25 at 7:00pm. The plays include Crossing The Line by Rachel Rubin Ladutke; Saint Rocco in Repose by Lisa Ellex; On A Wire by Barry M. Putt, Jr.; Colony 53 by Evan Krachman; and Mary, Mary by Felicia Russell. Some of these pieces contain adult content and language, so parental discretion is advised.

Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey Announces Brian B. Crowe As Next Artistic Director
 

(MADISON, NJ) -- The Board of Trustees of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) has announced that Brian B. Crowe will succeed Bonnie J. Monte as the company's new Artistic Director starting on January 1st of 2024. Now in his 28th season with the institution, Mr. Crowe, who began his tenure back in 1996 as a directing intern from Ohio, was immediately identified by Ms. Monte as a young artist with tremendous promise, and she moved him up through the ranks steadily in his first years with the company.

(DEAL PARK, NJ) -- The Axelrod Performing Arts Center is presenting New Jersey's first professional production of the Broadway musical, The Prom, now through May 21. This new production is directed by Broadway actor and director Todd Buonopane (Broadway's Spelling Bee, Grease, Chicago and Cinderella) and choreographed by Brooke Engen (Hairspray the film) with music direction by Michael Gilch. The Cast Of Beatlemania To Support Hackettstown Rotary Club With Performance At Centenary Stage Company
 

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company and the Hackettstown Rotary Club are presenting a one-night-only concert event on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 8:00pm with the Cast of Beatlemania. Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey Names James Allen Anderson as Music Director
 

(VOORHEES, NJ) -- The Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey (PSNJ) has announced that conductor James Allen Anderson has been appointed Music Director beginning with the 2023-2024 season. His appointment concludes a three-year search process that included seventy-five applicants from across the country.

 



Westminster Conservatory recital to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month on Saturday
 

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Westminster Conservatory of Music will present "Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month" on Saturday, May 13 at 7:30pm. The concert will feature nine Conservatory faculty members of AAPI heritage, as they perform music that represents the nations of their backgrounds. The concert will take place in Bristol Chapel (101 Walnut Lane) in Princeton.

Christian Nodal to Perform in NY and NJ in November
