Axelrod Performing Arts Academy presents "Alice in Wonderland, Jr."

(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Fall in love all over again with the timeless story of Alice in Wonderland Jr., presented by the Axelrod Performing Arts Academy from November 22-24, 2024 at Bell Theater at Bell Works in Holmdel. Experience the adventure, imagination and pure fun along with these unforgettable characters, based on the novels The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll and the 1951 Disney film Alice in Wonderland.

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Phoenix Productions, the community theatre company at the Count Basie Center for the Arts, is presenting The Color Purple: The Musical, featuring the community theatre company's first all-Black cast, from November 15-17, 2024. John Pielmeier Plays Peter Pan's Creator in 'Courage' at Centenary Stage

"Peter steps forth and asks the audience to applaud if they believe in fairies. What an extraordinary, risky thing to ask an audience at the time [in 1904]. The actress playing the very first Peter Pan, Nina Boucicault, stepped forth on opening night and asked this audience of sophisticated London gentry to clap hands if they believed in fairies, and the applause was deafening. She burst into tears." As did John Pielmeier and I as he recounted this tale of the first production of J. M. Barrie's "Peter Pan" in London, England.





George Street Playhouse offers Live Streams of "Gene & Gilda" on December 13-14

OCVTS Grunin Performing Arts Academy presents "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child"

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- OCVTS Grunin Performing Arts Academy presents Harry Potter and the Cursed Child High School Edition, based on an original story by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne, by bringing the excitement of the wizarding world to our local community. Performances take place November 22-24, 2024 on the Grunin Center for the Arts Main Stage.



Algonquin Arts Theatre Announces Casting and Creative Team for "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown"

The title of Donald Margulies' show doubles as a directive and in this case, signifies a collaboration with Morristown restaurants who are offering discounts to Pioneer audiences.
