Axelrod Performing Arts Center presents "Fiddler on the Roof" starring Bruce Sabath  (DEAL PARK, NJ) -- The Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal Park presents an exciting new production of the classic musical Fiddler on the Roof, the 1964 winner of 9 Tony Awards, from November 1-24, 2024. Based on Yiddish author Sholem Aleichem's stories, with a book by Joseph Stein, the musical boasts a celebrated score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick.

'Dinner with Friends' and Dinner, with Your Friends  Both the name of a thought-provoking, seminal work of art and a clever night-out suggestion, "Dinner with Friends," produced by Pioneer Productions Company, covers all your bases. The title of Donald Margulies' show doubles as a directive and in this case, signifies a collaboration with Morristown restaurants who are offering discounts to Pioneer audiences.

Vivid Stage presents the Next Live Episode of Gemstones on November 20th  (SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, is celebrating its 30th Anniversary season, marking decades of bringing contemporary theatre to audiences in the state of New Jersey. Coming up is the third episode of the original series, Gemstones, by Phoebe Farber. Episode 3 runs Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm.

OCVTS Grunin Performing Arts Academy presents "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child"  (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- OCVTS Grunin Performing Arts Academy presents Harry Potter and the Cursed Child High School Edition, based on an original story by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne, by bringing the excitement of the wizarding world to our local community. Performances take place November 22-24, 2024 on the Grunin Center for the Arts Main Stage.

Axelrod Performing Arts Academy presents "Alice in Wonderland, Jr."  (HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Fall in love all over again with the timeless story of Alice in Wonderland Jr., presented by the Axelrod Performing Arts Academy from November 22-24, 2024 at Bell Theater at Bell Works in Holmdel. Experience the adventure, imagination and pure fun along with these unforgettable characters, based on the novels The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll and the 1951 Disney film Alice in Wonderland.

State Theatre New Jersey presents "Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical"  (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical for five performances November 23-24, 2024. Audiences will discover the magic of the classic holiday tale as it comes to life live on stage.

South Camden Theatre Company presents "God of Carnage"  (CAMDEN, NJ) -- South Camden Theatre Company presents God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza across three weekends in November 2024. Using a translation by Christopher Hampton, the production of the 2009 Tony Award winning play is directed by Connie Norwood.

Sara Koviak and Anne O'Sullivan to Star in "Your Name Means Dream" at NJ Rep  (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ Rep) will continue its 27th Season with a presentation of Your Name Means Dream, written and directed by Academy Award-nominated José Rivera. This production will star Sara Koviak (New York: The Hours are Feminine) and Anne O' Sullivan (Broadway: Blythe Spirit), who both originated these roles when it debuted at the Contemporary American Theater Festival in 2023. It will begin performances on October 31, with its opening night on November 2, and run through November 24, 2024.

Centenary Stage Company's Fringe Festival 2024 takes place in November  (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company's Fringe Festival 2024 will begin its portion of CSC's 2024-2025 season with Dr. Glas, My Buddy, and Courage. Performances will take place in the Kutz Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center of the Centenary University campus at 715 Grand Ave, Hackettstown, throughout November.

The Players Guild of Leonia presents "Romeo & Juliet"  (LEONIA, NJ) -- The Players Guild of Leonia presents William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet weekends from November 8-24, 2024. The production is directed by Rachel Alt.

Maurer Productions OnStage presents "Beauty and the Beast" at Kelsey Theatre  (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- A timeless story set to music featuring some of the most beloved characters of all time comes to the Kelsey Theatre stage when Maurer Productions OnStage presents Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," weekends from November 8-24, 2024.

Luna Stage presents "Lonely Planet" by Steven Dietz  (WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage presents Lonely Planet by Steven Dietz, directed by Melissa Firlit, from November 14 – December 8, 2024. Lonely Planet is a funny and heartwarming story of friendship, love, and survival. In the 1990s, down an old city street, inside a small map store, a pile of chairs begins to form. Two best friends, Jody and Carl, manage the ever-growing mountain of chairs while taking care of each other and navigating the dark reality that looms in the outside world.

SPQR Stage Company presents "Freezing Antarctica"  (SOMERS POINT, NJ) -- SPQR Stage Company, the Jersey Shore's "Original" theater company, will present Freezing Antarctica across two weekends (November 15-16 and November 22-23, 2024) at Studio;Space in Somers Point. The play is written and directed by SPQR's Artistic Director Bill Sterritt.

Pioneer Productions presents powerful drama: "Dinner with Friends" by Donald Margulies  (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Pioneer Productions presents "Dinner with Friends," the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Donald Margulies, from November 15-24, 2024, at The Stage at Fellowship Hall in the Morristown United Methodist Church (50 South Park Place) in Morristown. The play explores the complexities of modern relationships through the lives of two couples whose friendships are tested by unexpected revelations and personal crises.

Playwright Wants to Challenge and Delight Audiences with 'Freezing Antarctica' at SPQR Stage Company  (SOMERS POINT, NJ) -- SPQR Stage Company, the Jersey Shore's "Original" theater company, will produce Freezing Antarctica, written and directed by SPQR's Artistic Director Bill Sterritt, November 15-16, and November 22-23, 2024 at Studio;Space in Somers Point. The plot revolves around Russian meteorologist Nikita Alexandra Romanov, who is on a desperate dash to the South Pole to save the world when she meets an American adventurer Jack Kennedy Armstrong Earhart on the way.

Levoy Theatre presents Irving Berlin's "White Christmas"  (MILLVILLE, NJ) -- Get into the holiday spirit with Irving Berlin's White Christmas at the Levoy Theatre. Based upon the classic film, the production features music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Performances run weekends from November 15-24, 2024.

East Lynne Theater Company presents "The Death Of Sherlock Holmes" Radio-Style  (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- East Lynne Theater Company will present two weekends of performances of "The Death of Sherlock Holmes?" radio-style, on November 15-16 and 22-23. Two stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle intertwine — "The Final Problem" and "The Adventure of the Empty House"—and have been adapted and are directed by East Lynne veteran Mark Edward Lang.

Readington Community Theatre presents "Breaking Legs"  (READINGTON TWP, NJ) -- Readington Community Theatre presents Breaking Legs weekends from November 15-24, 2024 at The Three Bridges Banquet Hall. Step into the world of dark comedy with Breaking Legs, a hilarious and suspenseful play that expertly blends crime, passion, and pasta.

Trilogy Repertory presents "The Trip to Bountiful" by Horton Foote  (BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- Trilogy Repertory presents The Trip to Bountiful weekends from November 16-24, 2024 at the Sieminski Theater. Horton Foote's moving play tells the story of Carrie Watts, an elderly woman, who longs to escape the cramped Houston apartment where she lives with her protective son, Ludie, and her authoritarian daughter-in-law, Jessie Mae.

Mercer County Community College Theater, Dance Students Reimagine the Greek Tragedy "The Bacchae"  (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- A cross-program collaboration of talented Mercer County Community College (MCCC) students will be on full display with theater and dance interpretations of a classic Greek tragedy, when they present "The Bacchae of Euripides" and "A Mouthful of Birds" from November 21-24, 2024, at the Kelsey Theatre on MCCC's West Windsor Campus.

Livingston Theatre Company presents "Something Rotten!"  (PISCATAWAY, NJ) -- The Livingston Theatre Company presents Something Rotten! from November 21-24, 2024. Come see two brothers set out to write the world's first musical in this hilarious mash-up of sixteenth-century Shakespeare and twenty-first-century Broadway.

Artist Collective Troupe presents "Little Women"  (POINT PLEASANT, NJ) -- Artist Collective Troupe presents Little Women from November 22-23, 2024 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Point Pleasant. Based on Louisa May Alcott's American classic, this Civil War story of love and family stands the test of time.

Bordentown Regional High School Theater Club presents 2024 One Act Play Festival  (BORDENTOWN, NJ) -- The award-winning Bordentown Regional High School Theater Club is proud to present their 2024 One Act Play Festival on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 7:30pm in the Bordentown Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door. All proceeds benefit BRHS senior scholarships.

The Lyceum Studio at the Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts presents "The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical" young audiences version  (BURLINGTON, NJ) -- The Lyceum Studio at the Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts is thrilled to present the Theatre for Young Audiences version of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, a one-act rock musical adaptation of Rick Riordan's best-selling novel, The Lightning Thief. This fast-paced, action-packed adaptation is a 70-minute adventure perfect for Percy Jackson fans of all ages. Paper Mill Playhouse presents Irving Berlin's White Christmas: The Musical  (MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse presents Irving Berlin's White Christmas: The Musical from November 27 to December 29, 2024. Based on the classic 1954 holiday film, it is a Technicolor Broadway musical extravaganza. The production is directed by Paper Mill's Producing Artistic Director Mark S. Hoebee.

Kick Off the Holiday Season with "The Best Time of the Year – Music & Memories of Christmas" at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre  (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- Put away the turkey, unpack the jingle bells and get into the holiday spirit with The MTM Players for a warm, fun, family-friendly musical revue "The Best Time of the Year – Music & Memories of Christmas" for one weekend and five performances, November 29-December 1, 2024, at the Kelsey Theatre on Mercer County Community College's West Windsor Campus.

Centenary Stage Company presents "A Christmas Carol: The Musical"  (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company's Family Friendly, Holiday Spectacular: A Christmas Carol: The Musical will run in the Sitnik Theatre from November 29 through December 15, 2024, with many performance times and dates available, including some weekday matinees. This is a musical stage adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic story, featuring music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and a book by Lynn Ahrens and Mike Ockrent.

Mile Square Theatre presents the World Premiere of "The Christmas Show Must Go On"  (HOBOKEN, NJ) -- Mile Square Theatre presents the World Premiere of The Christmas Show Must Go On by Pia Wilson from November 29 through December 15, 2024. This is a new classic tale for Christmas! The fairies in the Christmas Realm have been losing their power and the Christmas ghosts may all be leaving the realm to become Halloween ghosts. Can the Christmas Fairy welcome humans to the show for the first time ever, stop the ghosts from defecting, and make the annual Christmas Show happen?

The Theater Project to Mark 30th Anniversary with "It's A Wonderful Life: The Radio Play"  (SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Theater Project will mark 30 years of staging new plays and helping aspiring playwrights develop their craft with its 2024 production of It's a Wonderful Life: The Radio Play, November 30 and December 1 at the Oakes Center Theater in Summit.

Surflight Theatre presents "Miracle on 34th Street"  (BEACH HAVEN, NJ) -- Surflight Theatre presents the Christmas musical, Miracle on 34th Street, from November 30 through December 15, 2024. Paula Hammons Sloan directs and choreographs and Pete Clapsis heads the cast as Kris Kringle. In the play, single mother, Doris Walker, doesn't want her six-year-old Susan's head filled with romantic notions - such as Santa Claus.

George Street Playhouse presents "Gene & Gilda" throughout December  (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse presents Gene & Gilda, written by Cary Gitter (The Steel Man), and directed by Joe Brancato (Daniel's Husband), from December 3-22, 2024. The cast includes Jordan Kai Burnett (Channing Tatum's Magic Mike Live) and Jonathan Randell Silver (Virtuous Life of Joseph Andrews), who are reprising their roles from the original Penguin Rep Theater production as Gilda Radner and Gene Wilder respectively.

Theater League of Clifton to Hold Auditions for Dinner/Theater Murder Mystery Comedy  (CLIFTON, NJ) -- The Theater League of Clifton will hold auditions for its next dinner/theater production, "Girls Night Out," on December 3-4, 2024 from 7:00pm-9:00pm, at Mario's Restaurant (710 Van Houten Avenue) in Clifton. Call backs will be on December 5th.

"ANNIE" returns to New York City for the First Time in a Decade  (NEW YORK, NY) -- Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment), Carolyn Rossi Copeland Productions, Inc. and Crossroads Live North America recently announced full casting for the limited engagement of iconic Tony Award-winning musical ANNIE at The Theater at Madison Square Garden which runs from December 4, 2024 through January 5, 2025. This run marks the return of ANNIE to New York City for the first time in a decade.

Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents "A Christmas Carol"  (MADISON, NJ) -- Gather the family and rediscover the joy and magic of Charles Dickens' classic tale this holiday season as A Christmas Carol returns to the Main Stage of the acclaimed Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ). This production plays at The F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University from December 4-29, 2024.

Classic Radio Road Show presents "It's A Wonderful Life" as a Radio Play  Classic Radio Road Show presents It's a Wonderful Life, the holiday classic as a delightful radio play, in December. Performances take place in Marlboro, Piscataway, Aberdeen, and Monroe. All of the characters of Bedford Falls will be acted by a handful of talented actors. Sound effects will be performed by a Foley artist, manipulating props to create a soundscape.

CDC Theatre presents Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" in December  (CRANFORD, NJ) -- CDC Theatre presents one of the most enchanting musicals of all time, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, with eight performances from December 6-15, 2024. This 'tale as old as time' is based on Disney's Academy Award-winning film and features the timeless story you love, along with all your favorite characters and songs. The production is directed by Beth Kasper.

Annual Somers Point Porch Performances to Take Place December 6th  (SOMERS POINT, NJ) -- The Somers Point Unique Experiences Club, through the assistance of the Somers Point Business Association, and through the sponsorship of Debi and Chuck Westcott in honor of their love of Christmas and in remembrance of those present or have passed who shared this love is proud to announce the return of the annual Somers Point Porch Performances, December 6, 2024 starting at 6:00pm.

WHATCo presents "Love and Communication" as part of River's Edge Stage Series  (KEARNY, NJ) -- The West Hudson Arts & Theater Co (WHATCo) presents Love and Communication, a play by award-winning Princeton playwright James Christy Jr., as part of its River's Edge Stage series the weekend of December 6-7, 2024. This limited production follows the surreal journey of parents desperate to find the right treatment for their autistic son, only to find their efforts putting their marriage at risk.

Bergen County Players presents "The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical"  (ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America's longest-running little theater companies, presents The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (Theatre for Young Audiences Edition), an "electrifying" (Newsday) musical adaption of the New York Times best-selling novel written by Rick Riordan, with a limited holiday run at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell from December 7-22, 2024.

Classic American Tales to Hold Christmas Party  (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Classic American Tales (CAT) is throwing a little party to celebrate a successful 2024 Season and give a peek into the 2025 Season on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. The Cape May, NJ location will be revealed to attendees who purchase tickets.

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse presents Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares - a comedy show with original songs from August 26-30, 2026. Direct from an acclaimed run at Edinburgh Fringe and two sold-out Off-Broadway engagements comes this one-woman comedy show from the mind of Tony Award® winner Laura Benanti.

Spring Lake Theatre Company presents "Last Out: Elegy of a Green Beret"

(SPRING LAKE, NJ) -- Spring Lake Theatre Company presents two performances of Last Out: Elegy of a Green Beret from August 29-30, 2026. Bell Theater at Bell Works presents Broadway Sings for Aaron Lazar on August 31

(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- In 2022, as the world was finally coming out of COVID-19, Aaron Lazar was invited to return to the stage to lead the cast of The Bridges of Madison County, playing opposite Kate Baldwin at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal. Just days into rehearsal, Lazar received a diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, a progressive neurological disease with no known cure. Thus began Lazar's "extraordinary" journey.
