George Street Playhouse opens their 50th season with the play What the Constitution Means to Me. Written by Heidi Schreck, this play looks at the U.S. Constitution, Amendments, and Supreme Court decisions in an informative, interesting, and at times fun manner.




 

An Interview with Tony Stives about "The Corner of 62 and 3rd"

Tony Stives is a musician/songwriter from eastern PA. You may remember him as the guitarist for The Red House in the 1980s or the band Brother Eye, which he's been in since 1998. On October 2, 2024, he released his third solo record, The Corner of 62 and 3rd. New Jersey Stage reached out to him to learn more about his latest release.



Blauvelt Speaker Series presents Emiliana Simon-Thomas at the Grunin Center on October 9th

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County College Foundation's acclaimed Blauvelt Speaker Series continues on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 with a visit from Emiliana Simon-Thomas to the Grunin Center for the Arts. She is the science director at UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center (GGSC). The event begins at 11:00am.

This Friday, October 4 the Fall 2024 New Jersey Film Festival will screen the Best of the 2024 New Jersey International Film Festival. Some of the prize-winning films from this past June’s 2024 New Jersey International Film Festival will be shown online only on this date for 24 hours. Films include: Tennis, Oranges – Sean Pecknold (Winner Best Animation); INFINITY! – Benjamin To (Winner Best Short) and FILM IS DEAD. LONG LIVE FILM!  – Peter Flynn (Winner Best Documentary).
