7  Musical Comedies (Jack Dallas - Classics series; Jack Dallas - Americana series; Musical Comedy Bards series)

Overview - Jack Dallas

Deacon Jack Beddoe, known professionally as Jack Dallas (@JackDallasNYCon X), is a Northern New Jersey-based musical comedy bard, composer, and music minister at Centennial AME Zion Church in Closter.

An alumnus of Upsala College and Northern Valley Demarest is a former "on-the-road" musician, he is renowned for leading the NYC Music Marathon—a series of radio-style musical comedy performances featuring his original works like The HighWayManMirandaJen – X, and Uncle Bob. These productions blend folk opera, sci-fi romance, and historical tales (e.g., a Ben Franklin-inspired love story in 1756 - Making America), often performed in churches, cinemas, and theaters.

He also edited the folk opera Copper Kettle with family collaborator David Beddoe. As an exempt firefighter and lifelong EMT, Beddoe infuses his art with themes of faith, humor, and community.

Brief X.com Renown Remarks

Beddoe's X presence focuses on promoting his gospel-infused music and theater events, with renown stemming from viral shares of his spiritual performances.  His posts garner modest engagement but have been amplified by conservative influencers, earning praise for uplifting, faith-centered content. Key examples:

* Gospel Performance Virality (Sep 18, 2025)

* Beddoe shared a 1:52 YouTube clip of his rendition of the traditional gospel "On the Battlefield for My Lord" (B3 organ & vocals, inspired by Thomas A. Dorsey). Framed as a "Heaven Lifting Gospel Song," it was positioned as a counter to discord, drawing views and indirect nods for its soul-stirring delivery. This echoes broader acclaim for his ability to "transform lines into melodies with rich timbre," as fans note in similar tributes.

* Faith & Music Ministry Posts (Ongoing): Beddoe frequently promotes church events, like the 2025 Repertoire series at Centennial AME Zion, blending comedy with sermons on grace and resilience. Remarks highlight his "honest, rough-around-the-edges" style: "Music should be honest... carrying forward the golden thread of Country & Western legends, Rockabilly rebels, and gospel truths." Supporters call him a "courageous" testifier who "never misses an opportunity to preach the gospel" while entertaining.

* Theater Buzz Shares: Posts teasing NYC Marathon runs (e.g., 8-week 2024 series in Closter) receive shares for their witty, audience-interactive farces. One viral echo: "He excites... but imparts strength only at the throne of grace," tying his work to spiritual warnings against "abused" music.

His renown on X is niche but heartfelt—praised by likes in faith/music circles for fostering "connection through love, compassion, and the golden rule" amid cultural noise. For more, check his profile for event clips.
