Chinese Culture Arts Association – Dance · Moon

Friday, October 10, 2025 @ 7:00pm

Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) - Main Stage
1601 Irving Street, Rahway, NJ 07065

Inspired by the ethereal beauty of Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon, “Dance · Moon,” presented by Chinese Culture Arts Association, is a poetic tribute to the moon’s quiet majesty and its timeless presence — transcending generations, cultures, and words.

This original gala interweaves classical and ethnic dance traditions — from the flowing elegance of Han dance and the grounded strength of Tibetan movement to the sweeping vitality of Mongolian rhythm and other rich cultural expressions. Each performance embodies a different phase of moonlight: gentle, radiant, mysterious, and eternal.

Through the universal language of movement, Chinese Culture Arts Association’s “Dance · Moon” invites audiences of all backgrounds to share in a night of wonder, longing, and reunion beneath the moon — where tradition meets contemporary artistry.

Chinese Culture Arts Association (CCAA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in the New Jersey region. Our mission is to collaborate with our diverse community to promote Chinese culture through the arts. Instructor, Dongli Li has over 20 years of experience in Chinese classical and folk dance – serving as a dance teacher, as well as a principal choreographer and production manager. She is a graduate of the Shenyang Conservatory of Music’s Dance College and was formerly an instructor at the Conservatory.
