(EAST WINDSOR, NJ) -- The public is invited to enjoy the 57th Annual New Jersey Senior Citizens Art Show now on display in the hall galleries of the main building at Meadow Lakes Senior Living, 300 Meadow Lakes, East Windsor. The exhibit, featuring more than 280 works of art created by New Jersey artists over the age of 60, will remain on display through Thursday, October 26, 2023. Artists from 19 of New Jersey's 21 counties have work on display in this year's exhibit.
(TRENTON, NJ) -- The New Jersey State Council on the Arts has released the guidelines for its biggest grant program, opening the application process to arts organizations across the state for the first time in five years. The Council previously extended its three-year grant cycle an additional two years in order to support stability in the arts sector, which was significantly impacted by the pandemic. Recognizing the vital role the arts play in economic growth and community development, Governor Murphy and the Legislature nearly doubled the Council's state appropriation to $31.9 million dollars starting in Fiscal Year 2022. The deadline to apply is December 12, 2023.

I didn't like it at first but it stuck and never died and there are still kids from the neighborhood who are still calling me by it," laughed one of the hottest commodities on the international Blues music scene, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram as he discussed his latest album, "Live In London," his blues roots and his upcoming October 11 gig at Brooklyn Bowl in Philadelphia, PA and October 13 at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ.
