New York-based artist The Bones of J.R. Jones (a.k.a. Jonathon Linaberry) released a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "My Hometown" on January 23, 2024 that will appear on the deluxe version of his latest album Slow Lightning.
(RINGOES, NJ) -- Old York Cellars Winery and the Black River & Western Railroad have released the dates for 16 runs of the Hunterdon Wine Express in 2024, starting Saturday, April 13th. Tickets are on sale now on the winery's website. The entire 2023 season sold out within the first few weeks after tickets were available.
(MADISON, NJ) -- Drew University's Korn Gallery presents the exhibition, Nightcrawlers, by artist Andrew Brehm, from January 18th through February 23rd, 2023. The exhibition, curated by Nicholas des Cognets, consists of a series of new and existing sculptures spanning 10 years of production.
(MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre is presenting Deathtrap, a murder mystery by Ira Levin, from January 19-28, 2024. Sidney Bruhl would do anything to publish the next great play. He would even kill for it. This dark comedy, thriller will have audiences laughing one moment and screaming in terror the next as Sidney discovers he may not be the only murderer in the room. (WARETOWN, NJ) -- On Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Albert Music Hall presents Bluegrass Night. This special event will feature live performances by 6 of the finest local bluegrass bands. Showtime is 6:30pm. Considered Dunn's most popular play, Belles features six sisters who try bridge the distance between them via telephone through the course of a weekend and in the process come to terms with their fragmented family history.
(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The first ever live on-air wedding in the 66 year history of WFMU will take place on Friday March 15, 2024 when Miss Yvonne Szymczak becomes the bride of Mr. Charles E. Reutter IV in a ceremony that will be attended by close friends and family at WFMU's Monty Hall in Jersey City, NJ; and listened to live on the air by many thousands more. The wedding will be broadcast via terrestrial FM signal as well as an online stream, where a live video component will also be available to those wishing to tune in to the nuptials.

All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
