It's been 20 years since the release of dorkrockcorkrod by The Ergs! - one of the most popular and influential punk bands to come out of New Jersey. That was the first full length release on Don Giovanni Records and the label has announced a definitive deluxe edition of the album to celebrate the anniversary. A 2xLP set includes new artwork, unreleased photos, an exhaustive oral history compiled by Mike Faloon, the original album remastered by Justin Perkins, and a remix by Steve Albini overseen by Mike Yannich.

(TEANECK, NJ) -- In association with The Estate of Edward Albee, Black Box PAC presents a staged reading of At Home At The Zoo (1959/2004) on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 at Debonair Music Hall. Originally titled Peter & Jerry, At Home At The Zoo combines Albee's classic short play The Zoo Story (1959) with its prequel, Homelife (2004). Together these short plays form a complete story of Peter, a publishing executive; Ann, his wife; and Jerry, a stranger Peter meets in the park. Showtime is 7:30pm.
Literature to Life (LTL) will host spring gala events in both New York City and Washington, D.C., featuring live performances, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, and more. The proceeds from both events will benefit the organization's extensive work in schools and help Literature to Life expand educational opportunities for NYC- and D.C.-area students. The New York City event will take place on Monday, April 15 at Scandinavia House, and the Washington, D.C. event will take place on Monday, May 6 at the Edlavitch Jewish Community Center.
(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
