New Jersey Symphony Has January Performances in Red Bank, Newark, and New Brunswick

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Symphony presents three weeks of January programs, with subscription programs featuring Grieg’s Piano Concerto, co-commissions from Thomas Adès and Wynton Marsalis, Copland’s Lincoln Portrait—with narration by celebrated bass-baritone Eric Owens—and more. The Symphony’s annual Lunar New Year Celebration closes the month.

An Interview With Gerry Rosenthal

Gerry Rosenthal is an example of a hard working musician. The singer-songwriter / guitarist from Highland Park plays in multiple bands (an original rock band, Beatles tribute, wedding band, and his own Gerry Rosenthal Trio) and guests with other artists. He released a new EP on January 1, 2022.  In addition to music, he's had an acting career that includes roles in Finding Forrester, "Law & Order", and was the star of a video game called "Bully", which still has a huge fanbase 15 years after its release.



The Russian Ballet Theatre presents "Swan Lake" at NJPAC on February 13th

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The Russian Ballet Theatre will present a breathtaking new production of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Sunday, February 13 at 7:00pm. It is all of the splendor which has mesmerized ballet audiences for over a century, plus a bit more. It delights with new as well as time-honored Russian traditions. Gorgeous detailed hand-painted sets and added choreography accent the production. Radiant costumes following designs originally envisioned by the great theater masters enlighten further. 



New Jersey Arts Community Celebrates National Day of Racial Healing with Public Events In-Person and Online

The Creating Change Network, a program hosted by New Jersey Theatre Alliance and ArtPride New Jersey that aims to build a more equitable, just, and anti-racist arts community in New Jersey has partnered with the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Center at Rutgers University - Newark to curate a line-up of arts events celebrating the National Day of Racial Healing.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
