New Feathers Productions presents Premiere of "Beyond" on January 30th


(NEWTOWN, PA) -- New Feathers Productions (NFP) presents the premier of Beyond by Dave Droxler on Sunday, January 30th at the Zlock Performing Arts Center, Newtown, PA.  With direction by wife and collaborator Chelsey Shannon, Beyond is a limited, one-night-only theatrical engagement.  The cast includes Sherry Anderson, Fredi Bernstein, Meghan Malloy, and Hayden Saunier. Beyond  tells the story of Marie, an elderly woman who befriends a mysterious Creature that suddenly arrives at her home.

Centenary Stage Company presents Best of the Eagles On January 29th


(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company’s January Thaw Music Festival comes to a close with Best of the Eagles on January 29 at 8:00pm. The performance will take place in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center on the campus of Centenary University. Tickets for Best of the Eagles are $30.00 each and increase $5.00 the day of the performances. The performance will also be live streamed, and links are available for $10.00 each.  


SOPAC's Jazz in the Loft 2022 Series Lineup


(SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Kick off the new year with Jazz in the Loft, a South Orange Performing Arts Center concert series curated and hosted by Grammy-winning bassist John Lee. On Sunday nights, hear world-class artists from the region in the cabaret-style setting of the SOPAC Loft. The 2022 Jazz in the Loft series is dedicated to Lee Boswell-May, longtime curator of the program. Tickets are $20. All shows begin at 7:00pm.


New York Philharmonic concertmaster Frank Huang joins Montclair’s APEX Ensemble For January 14th Concert


(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- APEX Ensemble, formerly The Montclair Orchestra, kicks off 2022 on Friday, January 14 with a program reflecting the different aspects of love through music. Music Director David Chan will lead the ensemble, which will be welcoming New York Philharmonic concertmaster Frank Huang for the first time in the concertmaster role. Additional members of the Philharmonic, along with musicians from Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, will be performing alongside Fellows from The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Montclair State University, Yale University and Mannes School of Music. The performance starts at 8:00pm.

"Deerwoods Deathtrap" to Screen at Sundance Film Festival


(PARK CITY, UT) -- Memories can become muddled over time and they certainly have for Jack and Betty. In 1971 they were hit by a train while on a trip to Cape May and survived. 50 years later they return to the "scene of the crime" to discuss what happened that fateful September morning. Shot entirely on Kodak Super 8 film, "Deerwoods Deathtrap" by director James P. Gannon is a short film that explores the deadly accident and the conflicting memories surrounding it.

Alfa Art Gallery Presents "Interchangeable Lens: Frame of Mind"


(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- On Tuesday, January 18th, the walls of Alfa Art Gallery in New Brunswick will be gracefully displaying the group photography exhibition "Interchangeable Lens: Frame of Mind." This exhibition features an oeuvre of works of artist living and working in the tri- state area of New Jersey, including Bob Leonard, Danielle Austen, Lauren Curtis, Lee Day, Linda Sandow, Parvathi Kumar, Samuel Vovsi, Josephine (Ivy) McCoy, Alyssa Rose, Ron Wyatt, Alan Chimacoff. It will be on display from January 18 to March 12, 2022.
