Ocean County Library presents “When Radio Entertained People”

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Return to the era when families gathered around the wireless set for “theater of the imagination.” The Ocean County Library Toms River Branch will host a live presentation by When Radio Entertained People (WREP) on Wednesday, March 2 at 7:00pm.

The Sourland Conservancy presents a virtual program entitled, "The ABCs of Birding in the Sourlands: Identifying Winter Backyard Birds"

(HOPEWELL, NJ) -- On Thursday, February 10 at 7:00pm, The Sourland Conservancy presents a virtual program entitled, "The ABCs of Birding in the Sourlands: Identifying Winter Backyard Birds" via ZOOM. The Sourland region, designated by National Audubon as a continental IBA (Important BirdArea) attracts many different birds each season. This talk is a great way for beginner birders to get started on the basics of bird identification is to study the ones in their own backyards. Information will be provided on how to safely attract and feed birds in your yard, and how you can become a citizen scientist by participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) a week later!



Inis Nua Theatre presents American premiere of "Finding Fassbender"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Inis Nua Theatre presents the American Premiere of Finding Fassbender, a solo show from actor turned playwright Lydia Larson. When Eve gets a promotion, she moves to London in the hopes of having a glamorous big city life. But soon she discovers that being one in 9 million can be pretty lonely. Feeling at her lowest, a lifeline comes to Eve in the form of a letter for her apartment’s former tenant – Hollywood actor Michael Fassbender. Now all Eve has to do is return this letter to the rightful owner! The production will be directed by Barrymore Award-nominated director and Inis Nua Founder and Artistic Director Tom Reing. Previews begin Wednesday, February 9, with opening night on Friday, February 11. The show runs through February 27, 2022 for a total of 15 performances. All performances will take place at the Louis Bluver Theatre at the Drake, 302 South Hicks Street. Tickets are $15 - $30.

Dunbar Rep presents "Minstrel Show, or the Lynching of William Brown" at Middletown Arts Center

(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The Middletown Arts Center, in collaboration with the Dunbar Repertory Company, celebrates Black History Month with the presentation of the Minstrel Show, or the Lynching of William Brown on February 18-20 and February 25-27. Written by Max Sparber and directed by Darrell Lawrence Willis, Sr., this compelling production re-creates the horrific, true story of the 1919 lynching of a jailed black man, William Brown, as seen through the eyes of a couple of traveling, fictional song-and-dance men. The production stars Joseph G. Taylor and Arthur Gregory Pugh. 



The Theater League of Clifton postpones "Meshuggah-Nuns!" Until 2023

(CLIFTON, NJ) -- The Theater League of Clifton regrets that it has to postpone the dinner/theater production of Meshuggah-Nuns!, which was to be staged at Mario’s Restaurant in Clifton during February and March.  Unfortunately, due to concerns regarding Covid-19 and scheduling conflicts with the restaurant and the stage and acting crews, the show will not be performed again until 2023.



Remember Jones to Perform "Bat Out Of Hell" Live at Axelrod PAC

(DEAL PARK, NJ) -- Remember Jones will celebrate the sound of Meat Loaf and the music of Jim Steinman with three performances of Bat Out of Hell Live at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center from April 29 to May 1. Remember Jones will perform the entire classic album from 1977 and more with a 12-piece band and special guests that include Max Weinberg and Low Cut Connie.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
