A summer of change, for one family and the country. Set in 1969 against the backdrop of Woodstock and the first moon landing, “A Walk on the Moon” is a new musical adapted from the 1999 movie that focuses on a woman torn between her family and a surprising new love. We talked to leads Jackie Burns and Jonah Platt, and the director and Sheryl Kaller about this George Street Playhouse production. “A Walk on the Moon” runs through May 21, 2022 at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center.



Sam Jay Gold's "All Vows" Comes to Morris Museum

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Sam Jay Gold’s All Vows comes to the Morris Museum for three performances from May 6-8. All Vows is a puppet memory play by puppeteer, theatre artist, and writer, Sam Jay Gold, where history and imagination collide in a heartwarming tale. The play is centered on the possibly true life of his grandfather, Poppy, a Russian Jewish refugee raised in China. Poppy is portrayed through five hand-carved, wooden puppets, each modeled after him at a different age in his life.



Princeton Boychoir Celebrates 5th Anniversary with World Premiere

​​​​​​​(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The fifth anniversary season for Princeton Boychoir will culminate with a gala concert, Brothers, Sing On! Saturday, May 14 at Trinity Church (33 Mercert Street) in Princeon. Audiences will hear selections from all three choirs that make up the region’s premier training and performance choir for boys.








American Theater Group Presents Bill Bowers and “All Over the Map”

(BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- The American Theater Group (ATG), Somerset County’s professional theater company celebrating its tenth season, will present All Over the Map, an autobiographical one-man show performed by Bill Bowers, about his 30 years on the road performing in 26 countries, on Broadway, in the White House --and in the finest grade school cafeterias. The show begins previews on June 9, opens on June 11, and runs through June 18th, at the Fellowship Cultural Arts Center in Basking Ridge, NJ. 



Centenary Stage Company to Hold Auditions for "RENT" and "The Marvelous Wonderettes" on May 14th

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company will be holding auditions for their upcoming summer 2022 productions of RENT and The Marvelous Wonderettes. Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 14 from 12:00pm – 8:00pm in the David and Carol Lackland Center located on the campus of Centenary University at 715 Grand Ave, Hackettstown, NJ. Performers should prepare 16 – 32 bars of a contemporary/rock song, an accompanist will be provided. No appointment necessary, performers will be seen on a first-come-first-served basis. MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
