After some national touring this summer, Asbury Park singer-songwriter Sean Tobin and his band, the Boardwalk Fire, will rock the Asbury boards on Aug. 31 to end the the Asbury Park Live series to benefit Asbury Park Music Foundation.

Crossroads Comedy Theater Announces Halloween Shows

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Spooky season is around the corner, and Crossroads Comedy Theater has announced the start of a new October tradition with their slate of Halloween-themed programming. Shows run October 21 through October 31 at Plays & Players Theatre (1714 Delancey Pl, Philadelphia, PA) at various times.



State Theatre Announces 2022-23 Classical Series

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey, fully renovated in 2021, has announced its 2022-23 Classical Series featuring three world-renowned international orchestras. The Classical Series includes the Concerto Budapest Symphony Orchestra on January 14, Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine on February 17, and Daniel Hope – Zurich Chamber Orchestra on March 21. Tickets for all three concerts are on sale now.








Teaneck International Film Festival to Take Place Online and In-Person

Lewis Center for the Arts presents French Theater Festival in September

(PRINCETON, NJ) --Princeton University’s Lewis Center for the Arts, Department of French and Italian, and L’Avant-Scène presents the 11th edition of Seuls en Scène French Theater Festival, which will take place from September 9-23 at venues across the University’s campus. Most performances will be in French, and several will include English supertitles; all are free and open to the public.



WBGO Chief Technology Chief David Antoine Elected to Board of Society of Broadcast Engineers

(NEWARK, NJ) -- David Antoine, Chief Technology Officer for Newark Public Radio (WBGO) was elected to the Board of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE), a non-profit professional organization formed in 1964, which serves its global society of broadcast engineers. The national board of directors of the SBE, to which Antoine was appointed earlier this month, is responsible for the development of policy and determines the programs and services the society provides to its nearly 5,000 members.

Newark’s Prudential Center to Host 2022 MTV VMA Awards

The eyes of the music world will be on Newark, NJ this Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022 when the city’s Prudential Center hosts the MTV Video Music Awards. The event takes place live at 8pm EDT inside Prudential Center’s arena — the home of the New Jersey Devils — and will also air on multiple television channels including MTV, The CW, BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV 2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land, and VH1.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

"Last year it was 35 years ago when Whitesnake headlined the legendary Donington Festival in England. So, we thought it would be a good thing to celebrate that anniversary and do a "My Whitesnake Years" tour and when we were done, people from all over the world began asking if we'd be willing to do a run here or there and we went to Scandinavia, Spain and there is actually more stuff in the pipeline for next year also and of course now to the United States and it has been a lot of fun so far."
