(LINDEN, NJ) -- Mystic Vision Players, the resident theatre of Linden, is currently presenting Disney's High School Musical to the Linden stage. The play brings us back to East High School and the Romeo & Juliet story of budding romance in front of the footlights with direction by Howard Whitmore, choreography by LHS dance teacher, Barbara Brady, and music direction by Christynn Morris. Photographer John Posada was on hand one night to take some photos.



Range Life releases "Trucks" and "Burn" Singles

Range Life has released two brand new singles, "Trucks // Burn". Both are songs written about facing the loss of someone who struggled with addiction. "Trucks" features The Vaughns.



art629 Gallery Presents: "A dogmatic Art Show"

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- On, Saturday July 30 from 7:00pm-10:00pm, art629 Gallery presents “A dogmatic Art Show!”, featuring a collection of artwork and live paintings by local artist and performer Josh “dogmatic” Matson. The evening will also feature musical performances by Rick Barry of Asbury Park, Jesse Lee of Accidental Seabirds, and Trashboat Dickinson of Puppy Grease. This event is free and open to the public. The work will be on display for one week from July 30-August 6.

Passaic County presents a Larry Doby Talk and Documentary

(PATERSON, NJ) -- In celebration of New Jersey Day (Wednesday, July 27), the County of Passaic, in partnership with Passaic County Community College, will present a talk and documentary film about the life of Baseball Hall of Famer Larry Doby at the college. Doby followed Jackie Robinson, a mere 11 weeks, to become the second African American in Major League Baseball. Admission is free.

"She's Like the Wind"

The first thing you'll see upon entering the gallery at Deep Space (77 Cornelison St.) is the shadow-outline of a woman's leg. There it is, on a chartreuse background, sticking straight up in the air with a curvaceous bare foot inches from the ceiling. That's all of the subject of "Lemon Lime Toe of God" that the oil painter Delilah Ray Miske is willing to show us. The rest of the body, she implies, is splayed out on a bed. We know it's summer because the window is closed and the air conditioner is plugged in. There's a pretty good chance that the possessor of the leg is undressed. In one hand, she holds a cellphone, and she might be broadcasting something. On the wall, a small whip-like broomstick hangs. It could be the ride of a tiny witch. It could be the professional tool of a dominatrix.
