Vineyard Theatre Announces 2023-24 Season

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Sarah Stern and Douglas Aibel are pleased to announce the company's upcoming 41st Season which will include two full productions. The season will begin with the world premiere of Scene Partners by John J. Caswell Jr. (Wet Brain), Vineyard Theatre's 2020-21 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award winner, directed by Tony Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown), starring two-time Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest (Bullets Over Broadway, Happy Days) and the New York City premiere of Russian Troll Farm: A Workplace Comedy by Sarah Gancher (Hundred Days, Richard Rodgers Award), directed by Tony Award winner Darko Tresnjak (A Gentleman's Guide To Love And Murder). Both productions will open at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street).



The Black Box to present Sam Shepard plays, including U.S. Premiere of "Little Ocean"

(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Black Box - NJ's incubator for new and under-produced works by world-class artists - is proud to present Sam Shepard's groundbreaking plays Action, The Unseen Hand, and the U.S. premiere of the unpublished Little Ocean, running from September 21 through October 8. For this 2023-24 Season opening fundraiser, limited tickets for 10 shows only are now on sale for performances on the 2nd floor of 8 East Palisade Avenue, Englewood, NJ.

The music begins at 2:00pm and also includes performances by New Jersey artists Jake Thistle and Chris Fritz. The benefit is presented by Spring-Nuts and will raise awareness and funds for Endometriosis Research and the Endometriosis Foundation of America.

2023 celebrates the 25th anniversary for eclectic improv-rock band Umphrey's McGee. Recently the band was thrown a curveball due to drummer, Kris Meyers, placement on the IR list. Meyers underwent shoulder surgery and will be missing UM fall tour. Improvising, UM has officially started fall tour with notable guest drummers behind the kit. On Thursday August 17, 2023 this experiment began at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. First up performing was Duane Trucks of Widespread Panic.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
