Chatham Community Players presents "Grand Horizons"

(CHATHAM, NJ) -- The Chatham Community Players will open its 102nd Season with the hilarious and heartbreaking play, Grand Horizons by Beth Wohl from October 20 – November 4, 2023 at The Chatham Playhouse. In the play, Bill and Nancy have spent fifty full years as husband and wife. They practically breathe in unison, and can anticipate each other's every sigh, snore, and sneeze. But just as they settle comfortably into their new home in Grand Horizons, the unthinkable happens: Nancy suddenly wants out.



Crossroads Theatre Company's 2023-24 Season

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Crossroads Theatre Company's 45th season kicks off on Saturday, October 21, 2023 with a special one night performance by April May Webb in a Tribute to Micki Grant.  The season then follows with Ella - A Musical Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald in December; the company's annual Genesis Festival of New Plays in March; August Wilson's Fences at the end of May; and Echoes' Of Freedom - Miriam Makeba & Hugh Masekela's Jazz Heritage in June.

(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Take a step back in time and relive fond memories, as Time Barrier Express rocks you back to the '50s, '60s & '70s. On Friday, October 20, 2023, the show comes to Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) with performances by legends Little Anthony and Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, legacies paying tribute to their fathers, Bobby Wilson to his dad Jackie and Carla Cooke to her dad Sam, and The Chiclettes echoing the sounds of "girl groups" through the decades. The Coda Orchestra will provide the musical backbone for this groundbreaking concert, while Oldies 'N' More Radio personality Jeff Taylor will host the festivities.



Roll into Rock's Golden Decade with Strictly 60s Band at Ocean County Library Jackson Branch

(JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- Roll back the calendar, push back the chairs, and get ready to rock the way they did during the pop music explosion. Enjoy the Strictly 60s Band in concert at the Ocean County Library Jackson Branch on Saturday, October 21. Showtime is 2:00pm.



Robert Bannon to Release Live Album Recorded at Greenroom 42

Renowned singer and songwriter, Robert Bannon, will release a live album recorded at the prestigious Green Room 42 in New York. Entitled Rewind, the album showcases Bannon's extraordinary talent and heartfelt storytelling. Scheduled for release on October 27, 2023, the record takes listeners on a nostalgic journey through Bannon's Italian/Irish heritage, his parent's unwavering love and support, his unique queer flare, and his beloved home state of New Jersey.



Altamura Legacy Concerts presents Pioneers from NYC's Hip Hop and Piano DIY Culture

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Necessity is the mother of invention for DIY culture especially in the arts in NYC. Altamura Legacy Concertsis excited to bring that spirit to its living room setting in the heart of Princeton (at the corner of Nassau Street at Vandeventer) on Sunday, October 15th at 4:00pm. The gathering kicks off with pioneer break dancer, Ana "Rokafella" Garcia in a talk and a viewing of excerpts from her film "All the Ladies Say." John Cage's prepared piano music follows with New York Times featured pianist Adam Tendler. ALC Artistic Director Cristina Altamura hosts with Adam Sliwinski of Sō Percussion. Coffee bar opens at 3:30pm. Princeton University piano student Otto Trueman will warm up the audience starting at 3:45pm.



Clinton Hill Community Action Hosted Screening of "Gone Too Soon" Documentary

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Clinton Hill Community Action (CHCA) hosted a screening of "Gone Too Soon," a documentary produced by Celeste Bateman, on September 27, 2023 in Clinton Hill. This night of culture was hosted in collaboration with the Clinton Hill Community Action & New Jersey Performing Arts Center ArtsXchange program and the Newark Arts Festival.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
