Wednesday, September 10 - State Theatre presents Howard Jones with special guest Haircut One Hundred featuring Richard Blade. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- New Wave is making a stop at State Theatre New Jersey with Howard Jones, Haircut One Hundred, and Richard Blade on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Hear hits from Howard Jones like "No One is to Blame," "What is Love?," "New Song," and "Things Can Only Get Better." Joining Jones is Haircut One Hundred, who burned bright in the early '80s with songs like "Fantastic Day" and "Love Plus One," and DJ Richard Blade (KROQ, Los Angeles; Video One; MV3; VideoBeat). Wednesday, September 10 - Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents "Romeo & Juliet". (MADISON, NJ) -- The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) presents Romeo and Juliet from September 10 to October 5, 2025 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University. This is one of the most enduring and influential tragedies in Western literature. The play is a cautionary tale about the tragic consequences of young love trying to exist amidst a world entrenched in hatred.

Thursday, September 11 - The Morris Museum presents Back Deck 2025 Concert Series. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The Morris Museum presents Back Deck 2025 - the sixth year of their popular concert series featuring big international names and regional superstars in jazz, classical, and genres in-between. Patrons are invited to bring chairs, set up picnics, and enjoy the sunset for this special program.

Friday, September 12 - Outpost in the Burbs presents Ron Sexsmith with opener Ed Seifert. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Outpost in the Burbs presents acclaimed singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith on Friday, September 12, 2025 at the First Congregational Church (40 South Fullerton Avenue) in Montclair. New Jersey-based singer-songwriter Ed Seifert will open the show. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Bridge Players Theatre Company presents "Sistas: The Musical". (BURLINGTON, NJ) -- Bridge Players Theatre Company presents Sistas: The Musical by Dorothy Marcic weekends from September 12-27, 2025 at the Broad Street United Methodist Church in Burlington. This is a joyful, soul-stirring celebration of Black women through music, memories, and sisterhood!

Friday, September 12 - Makin Waves with The Nelsons: 'A Jersey Family'. From the moment they burst onto the scene with their self-penned 1990 debut album, "After the Rain," Matthew and Gunnar Nelson -- twin sons of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ricky Nelson -- captivated audiences with their striking good looks and trademark long blonde hair. However, it was their exceptional songwriting and commercially savvy rock sound that catapulted them to stardom, solidifying their status as third-generation torchbearers of the Nelson family legacy that also produced "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" television and radio shows.

Friday, September 12 - Engaging feature Mistura screens at the Fall 2025 New Jersey Film Festival. Sometimes losing everything is the start of something new. In Mistura, director Ricardo de Montreuil tells the story of a woman in 1965 Lima, Peru, whose comfortable life falls apart and who begins to rediscover her country through food and the people around her.

Saturday, September 13 - Roxey Ballet to Premiere NJ Ballad at Dancing on the Green in Honor of America's upcoming 250th Birthday. (HIGH BRIDGE, NJ) -- Roxey Ballet proudly announces the premiere of NJ Ballad, a moving new dance work celebrating the heart and history of the Garden State, to be presented at this year's Dancing on the Green on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the scenic High Bridge Grounds for Art. Saturday, September 13 - A Chat with 10cc's Graham Gouldman Who Performs at Carteret PAC. One of the most innovative bands in pop music, 10cc, will perform live on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Carteret Performing Arts and Events Center in Carteret, NJ. The British band's Ultimate, Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour 2025 is an extension of the group's first US tour in over three decades.

Saturday, September 13 - Grunin Center for the Arts presents CeCe Teneal's Divas of Soul. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Grunin Center for the Arts presents CeCe Teneal's Divas of Soul on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 7:00pm. This spectacular celebration of thirty years of chart-topping music from artists like Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, and more has wowed audiences worldwide.

Saturday, September 13 - The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents Dana Fuchs. (TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents Dana Fuchs on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 7:30pm. Fuchs who starred in the off-Broadway musical Love, Janis, stands at the crossroads of blues and rock, a fierce voice in modern roots music.

Saturday, September 13 - State Theatre New Jersey presents EagleMania. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Eaglemania - The World's Greatest Eagles Tribute Band on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 8:00pm. A limited number of tickets remain.

Sunday, September 14 - “I Will Revenge This World With Love” S. Paradjanov has its US Premiere at the New Jersey Film Festival. “I Will Revenge This World With Love” S. Paradjanov starts from the director’s perspective in 2022 Moscow. We hear protestors crying, “No War! No War!” We see her thumb scroll through articles and eventually click on an interview of rebel artist Sergei Paradjanov. And so we start learning about him, over a dialogue with this powerful man, interviews with acclaimed artists and admirers of his, and the director’s journey into the enigma of his legacy.

Wednesday, September 10 - Prudential Center presents Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace with special guest Return to Dust. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Multi-platinum rock bands Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace are joining forces for a 2025 co-headline tour across the U.S., featuring special guest Return To Dust, which includes a stop at Prudential Center in Newark on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Breaking Benjamin will close each night of the tour.

Wednesday, September 10 - The Darkness to Tour North America including Show at Irving Plaza. Multi-platinum UK rock legends THE DARKNESS – singer/guitarist Justin Hawkins, guitarist Dan Hawkins, bassist Frankie Poullain, drummer Rufus Taylor — are hitting the road in support of their latest album Dreams On Toast (released March 28th via Cooking Vinyl). The Darkness will ignite stages across North America from August 29 through September 21. The tour then resumes on November 7 and wraps on November 22, 2025. The tour comes to the area on September 10th with a show at Irving Plaza in New York City.

Thursday, September 11 - Levoy Theatre presents Sheena Easton. (MILLVILLE, NJ) -- On Thursday, September 11, 2025, Sheena Easton will perform at the Levoy Theatre. Easton, whose career has spanned nearly five decades, has sold over 20 million records worldwide. Doors are at 6:00pm, showtime is 7:00pm.

Thursday, September 11 - Prudential Center presents Uncle Charlie's R&B Cookout featuring Charlie Wilson, Babyface, K-Ci Hailey, and El Debarge. (NEWARK, NJ) -- R&B icon Charlie Wilson is bringing the ultimate soul-infused celebration to fans this summer with his Uncle Charlie's R&B Cookout Tour, produced by Live Nation Urban and P Music Group featuring an all-star lineup of legendary acts including Babyface, K-Ci Hailey and El DeBarge. The nationwide tour includes a stop at Prudential Center on Thursday, September 11, 2025 delivering an unforgettable night of timeless hits, powerhouse vocals, and feel-good vibes.

Friday, September 12 - PettyBreakers Return to Strand Theater in September. (LAKEWOOD, NJ) -- Get ready for an electrifying night of classic rock as the PettyBreakers, "The World's Greatest Tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers!" (AXS-tv), return to the Strand Theater in Lakewood, NJ on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 8:00pm.

Friday, September 12 - SOPAC presents Stephane Wrembel Quartet. (SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Stephane Wrembel Quartet will perform at South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) on Friday, September 12, 2025. Wrembel is a virtuoso guitarist hailed as "a revelation" by Rolling Stone and celebrated for reinventing gypsy jazz with a modern edge and boundless creativity. Showtime is 7:30pm.

Saturday, September 13 - 2025 Hudson West Fest to Take Place September 13th. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The Hudson West Fest is excited to announce the lineup for its 8th annual roots music festival and is sweetening the pot with the news that all ticket fees will be dropped this year. The event will occur on Saturday, September 13, 2025, and will feature 10 music performers on both indoor and outdoor stages. The expanded street fair will include vendors, artisans, family activities, and dancing. The organizers will also present four music-based workshops (topics to be announced soon) at no cost. An indoor bar and food options will be available to the public.

Saturday, September 13 - Newton Theatre presents The Red Hot Chilli PIPERS. (NEWTON, NJ) -- The Red Hot Chilli PIPERS return to The Newton Theatre on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 8:00pm. These are bagpipes with attitude. Drums with a Scottish accent. A blazing rock band and show so hot, it carries its own health warning.

Saturday, September 13 - 2025 Montclair Jazz Festival to Take Place September 13th. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- The nationally-recognized nonprofit organization JAZZ HOUSE KiDS has announced the full lineup of the MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL Downtown Jamboree and Block Party, taking place in downtown Montclair on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

Sunday, September 14 - "The World of Hans Zimmer - A New Dimension" comes to Prudential Center in September. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Hans Zimmer presents The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension, a 24-city arena tour debuting in North America this fall, following a tremendously successful European run of the internationally acclaimed production in 2024. The newly staged live show will visit Prudential Center on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 7:30pm for one show only, and features Zimmer's brand-new arrangement of the two-time Academy Award® winner's diverse collection of scores, precisely synchronized with epic film sequences.

Monday, September 15 - Celebrate a "Century of Soundtracks" with Dakota & Elle Vocal Duo Concert at the Ocean County Library’s Waretown Branch. (WARETOWN, NJ) -- Looking to enjoy a spectacular evening of music? Take part in celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Ocean County Library with a concert by vocal duo Dakota & Elle featuring iconic songs from popular movies on Monday, September 15, 2025 at the Waretown Branch of the Ocean County Library. The event begins at 6:30pm.

Classic American Tales presents "Tales at the Dormer House". (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 12 through October 16, 2025, Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents "Tales at the Dormer House" in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories by American authors. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting. Otherwise, they will be inside. Cost is only $12.00, cash at the door, and guests at The Dormer House and children ages 12 and under are free.

"Heathers, the Musical" returns to NYC this summer. (NEW YORK, NY) -- Producers Bill Kenwright LTD., Paul Taylor-Mills and Jerry Goehring are pleased to announce that after smash hit runs in London and on tour throughout the UK, a new production of Heathers the Musical will make its eagerly awaited return to New York City in June.

East Lynne Theater Company Debuts Cabaret at the Clemans Series with "No Regrets: An Evening with Edith Piaf". (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Experience the new East Lynne Theater Company as it debuts its original music series, Cabaret at the Clemans, with "No Regrets: An Evening with Edith Piaf" ("Je ne regrette rien: Une soirée avec Édith Piaf") starring multidisciplinary artist Yael Rasooly, from September 4-14, 2025 at the Clemans Theater for the Arts in Cape May.

Classic American Tales presents humorous stories at The Dormer House. (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Classic American Tales (CAT) at the historic Dormer House B&B in Cape May, NJ presents humorous stories on the next two Thursdays.

The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents "Parade". (PITMAN, NJ) -- The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents Parade weekends from September 5-28, 2025. mid religious intolerance, political injustice and racial tension, the stirring Tony Award-winning musical explores the endurance of love and hope against all the odds. It features a book by Alfred Uhry and a rousing, colorful and haunting score by Jason Robert Brown.

Somerset Valley Players presents "Funny Money" by Ray Cooney. (HILLSBOROUGH, NJ) -- Somerset Valley Players presents Funny Money by Ray Cooney weekends from September 5-21, 2025. Never has this master of farce been frenetically funnier! Henry A. Perkins, a mild- mannered CPA, accidentally picks up the wrong briefcase – one full of money.

Leslie Odom, Jr. to Return as Aaron Burr in "Hamilton". (NEW YORK, NY) -- Tony and Grammy Award-winning, three-time Emmy and two-time Academy Award-nominated performer Leslie Odom, Jr. will make a highly anticipated return to Broadway this fall in his critically acclaimed, Tony Award-winning role as Aaron Burr in Hamilton. The original star is set to reprise his wildly successful and iconic portrayal of Aaron Burr, which comes nine years after he took his final bow in July 2016.

Theater League of Clifton to hold auditions for "The Addams Family Musical". (WAYNE, NJ) -- The Theater League of Clifton will hold auditions for its next theater production, The Addams Family Musical, on Tuesday, September 9 from 6:30pm – 9:00pm and Thursday, September 11 from 6:30pm – 9:00pm. NJ Rep to present World Premiere of "Can't Run Can't Dance" by Gregg Henry. (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJRep) is proud to present the world premiere of Can’t Run Can't Dance, a wild new comedy by Gregg Henry - the prolific film and television actor best known for major roles in "Scandal," "Gilmore Girls," and Guardians of the Galaxy. This fresh theatrical caper, directed by Lisa James, will run from September 11 through October 5, 2025, with opening night set for Saturday, September 13 at 7:00pm.

Classic American Tales presents James Thurber at The Dormer House. (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Classic American Tales (CAT) presents Thurber: Not Unmeaningless at The Dormer House on Thursday, September 11, 2025 - part of a new solo play conceived, compiled, and edited by Pat Dwyer and Sybille Bruun with assistance by Stephen Mosher, and performed by Pat Dwyer, based on the works of James Thurber, performed by arrangement with Rosemary A. Thurber and The ​Barbara Hogenson Agency, Inc.

The Road Company presents "Godspell". (WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ) -- The Road Company presents the classic rock musical, Godspell, across two weekends from September 11-21, 2025. Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden), and it took the world by storm.

The Ritz Theatre Company presents "Guys and Dolls". (HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ritz Theatre Company presents Guys and Dolls weekends from September 12-28, 2025.  Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy. It is often hailed as the perfect musical comedy.

Players Guild of Leonia presents "Red Speedo" to Open New Season. (LEONIA, NJ) -- The Players Guild of Leonia is diving headfirst into their new season with Red Speedo, the razor-sharp, hilarious, and fast-paced play by acclaimed playwright Lucas Hnath (A Doll's House, Part 2). Performances will take place from September 12-28, 2025 at the Civil War Drill Hall Theater in Leonia, home of the Players Guild.

Nutley Little Theatre presents "Dog Sees God: Confessions Of A Teenage Blockhead". (NUTLEY, NJ) -- Nutley Little Theatre presents Dog Sees God: Confessions Of A Teenage Blockhead across three weekends - September 12-14, September 19-21, September 25-27, 2025. When his beloved beagle is destroyed after a rabid rampage, CB is plunged into such a depression that a literal raincloud starts to follow him around.

Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center presents "Fade" by Tanya Saracho. (PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center continues its 2025 season with Fade, a powerful and witty play by acclaimed playwright Tanya Saracho, from September 12-14, 2025 at the duCret Center of Art. Burlington County Footlighters presents "Bat Boy: The Musical". (CINNAMINSON, NJ) -- Burlington County Footlighters presents Bat Boy: The Musical across 3 weekends from to September 12-27, 2025. Based on a story in The Weekly World News, thisis a musical comedy/horror show about a half boy/half bat creature who is discovered in a cave near Hope Falls, West Virginia.

The Barn Theatre presents "The Cottage" by Sandy Rustin. (MONTVILLE, NJ) -- The Barn Theatre presents The Cottage by Sandy Rustin across 3 weekends from September 12-28, 2025. A romantic (and not quite murderous) comedy of manners. Inspired by Noël Coward, the play unfolds in the English countryside in 1923.

Two River Theater presents Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Links". (RED BANK, NJ) -- Two River Theater presents the world-premiere of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Links, stylishly reimagined by Tony Award® winning director Darko Tresnjak (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder). Featuring numerous Tony Award® winners and nominees, both on and off stage, the production will run in the Joan and Robert Rechnitz Theater from September 13 - October 5, 2025.

Bergen County Players to Open Season with "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical". (ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America's longest-running little theater companies, will launch its 93rd season with the area premiere of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. This Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical phenomenon, based on the inspiring true story of the artist's remarkable journey from young songwriter to superstar solo artist, will run at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell from September 13 through October 11, 2025.

The Acting Company presents a Benefit Reading of "Love's Labour's Won" by Alice Scovell. (NEW YORK, NY) -- The Acting Company is proud to announce Loves’ Labour's Won, a hilarious Shakespearean sequel by Alice Scovell, staged by Award-winning director Brian Isaac Phillips. The all-star cast features Steven Boyer, Christian Conn, Ismenia Mendes, and Sarah Stiles. The one-night only play reading will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 7:00pm at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues). Saturday, September 13 - Roxey Ballet to Hold Auditions for 30th Anniversary production of "Nutcracker". (EWING, NJ) -- Roxey Ballet is thrilled to celebrate a milestone 30th Anniversary Season of its beloved Holiday Classic, The Nutcracker, promising an unforgettable journey of dance, tradition, and community spirit. Monday, September 15 - Amanda Selwyn Dance Studio to Hold 2nd Annual Golf Outing in Bloomfield. Tom Nussbaum's Six-Decade Journey Comes Alive in Major Retrospective at Montclair Art Museum. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- The Montclair Art Museum presents Tom Nussbaum: But Wait, There's More!, the first full-career retrospective of American artist Tom Nussbaum (b. 1953), from September 13, 2025 to January 4, 2026. Featuring more than 80 works spanning six decades, the exhibition showcases Nussbaum's distinctive use of vibrant color, richly varied forms, and his fluid movement between figuration and abstraction. Across sculpture, drawing, and design, his inventive body of work invites curiosity, interpretation, and personal connection. As he has observed, "Much of my work is open to interpretation, and as such it welcomes viewers to find their own stories in it."
