(MONTVILLE, NJ) -- The Barn Theatre presents The Cottage by Sandy Rustin across 3 weekends from September 12-28, 2025. A romantic (and not quite murderous) comedy of manners. Inspired by Noël Coward, the play unfolds in the English countryside in 1923.

As fate, identity, and marriage are tested, a hilarious web of secrets emerges. It was the perfect love affair, until their spouses arrived!

Performances take place Friday, September 12 at 8:00pm; Saturday, September 13 at 2:00pm; Sunday, September 14 at 2:00pm; Friday, September 19 at 8:00pm; Saturday, September 20 at 8:00pm; Sunday, September 21 at 2:00pm; Friday, September 26 at 8:00pm; Saturday, September 27 at 8:00pm; and Sunday, September 28 at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The Barn Theatre is located at 32 Skyline Drive in Montville, New Jersey.

The cast includes Emily Bonaria (Marjorie); Danielle Pennisi Christianson (Dierdre); Joseph Christianson (Richard); Lisa Cortney Benke (Sylvia Van Kipness); Nathan Scott Hancock (Clarke); and Dan Maceyak (Beau).

Playwright Sandy Rustin is ane of the most produced playwrights in America, Sandy penned the adaptation of the cult-hit film, CLUE which has enjoyed over 4,000 productions worldwide. Her musical adaptation of the film Mystic Pizza premiered at Paper Mill Playhouse in 2025. Other works include The Suffragette's Murder, Loch Ness, and Always Something There.
