Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater & Music Theater presents "A Moment of Silence" by Mohammad Yaghoubi. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater and Music Theater at Princeton University presents A Moment of Silence by celebrated Iranian playwright and director Mohammad Yaghoubi. The play, presented in an English translation, offers a surreal, poetic, unexpectedly humorous, and deeply human meditation on Iran's turbulent modern history. Performances are October 31, November 1 and 7 at 8:00pm and November 8, 2025 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm at the Berlind Theatre at McCarter Theatre Center.

Wednesday, November 5 - McCarter Theatre presents Legendary Violinist Kyung Wha Chung. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- One of the world's great violinists, Kyung Wha Chung, returns to McCarter Theatre Center for the first time in nearly 40 years on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 7:30pm, joined by pianist Kevin Kenner. This appearance marks a highlight of Chung's 60th year in music and is part of her limited international tour, which includes only three U.S. engagements—Princeton, Worcester (MA), and New York's Carnegie Hall.

State Theatre New Jersey presents Richard Thomas in "Mark Twain Tonight!" by Hal Holbrook. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Richard Thomas in Mark Twain Tonight! by Hal Holbrook from November 5-6, 2025. Emmy® Award-winning actor Richard Thomas will star in a new production of Mark Twain Tonight!. Richard is the first and only actor authorized to perform the play, written and originally performed by Hal Holbrook.

Teaneck International Film Festival Announces 20th Anniversary Lineup. (TEANECK, NJ) -- The Teaneck International Film Festival unveils its 20th anniversary roster! A project of The Puffin Foundation Ltd., the 20th anniversary festival will be held November 6-13, 2025, featuring over 25 films, panel discussions, awards, and parties with filmmakers, actors, elected officials and industry guests attending.

Thursday, November 6 - MAGIC ROCKS! Illusionist Leon Etienne to perform at Grunin Center. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Bring the family and join us for an evening of magic and mystery! Illusionist Leon Etienne will present his hit show, "Magic Rocks!" on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Grunin Center for the Arts. Showtime is 7:00pm.

Burlington County Footlighters presents "She Loves Me". (CINNAMINSON, NJ) -- Burlington County Footlighters presents She Loves Me across three weekends from November 8-22, 2025. Step into a charming shop in 1930s Budapest, where love hides in plain sight in She Loves Me. This heartwarming musical follows two feuding coworkers who unwittingly fall for each other through anonymous letters.

Saturday, November 8 - NBPAC presents The Devil and Daisy Dirt. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Devil and Daisy Dirt comes to the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) on Saturday, November 8, 2025. It's a bluegrass tall tale about the Jersey Devil with live music and an 8′ wearable puppet. Showtime is 7:00pm.

Saturday, November 8 - Outpost in the Burbs presents Steve Earle Solo Acoustic Fifty Years of Songs and Stories. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Outpost in the Burbs presents Steve Earle Solo Acoustic Fifty Years of Songs and Stories on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 8:00pm. Laura Cantrell will open the night. The concert will take place at the First Congregational Church in Montclair.

 "TINA – The Tina Turner Musical" comes to MPAC. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The North American tour of the joyful and triumphant Broadway smash hit TINA – The Tina Turner Musical continues to woo audiences and celebrate the iconic life and legacy of Tina Turner. TINA comes to Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) for four performances, Saturday and Sunday, November 8-9, 2025.

Saturday, November 8 - Kean Stage presents "The Soul of Burt Bacharach". (HILLSIDE, NJ) -- Kean Stage will present two performances of The Soul of Burt Bacharach on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 2:00pm & 7:30pm at Enlow Recital Hall. Acclaimed bassist and festival producer Mike Griot introduces a special presentation of the work of one of the most iconic composers in music history: the legendary Burt Bacharach!

The Middletown Arts Center and Dunbar Repertory Company present "A Soldier's Play". (MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The Middletown Arts Center, in conjunction with Dunbar Repertory Company, presents Charles Fuller's A Soldier's Play, directed by Darrell Lawrence Willis, Sr., November 8-16, 2025. In a segregated Louisiana army camp in 1944, the murder of a rancorous Black sergeant stirs deep-seated animosity and corruption among the soldiers under his command. When a clean-cut Northern captain arrives to investigate, truths are confessed and a shocking secret is revealed.

Saturday, November 8 - Split Level Concerts presents James Maddock with special guest Jackson Pines. (OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter James Maddock and his band will perform at Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 8:00pm. Jackson Pines will open the show. The show marks the kickoff of the second season of Split Level Concerts at the Arts Center, one that presents renowned Americana and contemporary folk musicians in a uniquely intimate setting.

South Camden Theatre Company presents "DOT" by Colman Domingo. (CAMDEN, NJ) -- Celebrate 20 years of professional theatre in Camden with the final production of the 2025 season by South Camden Theatre Company - DOT by Colman Domingo. Performances run weekends from November 8-23, 2025. The New York Times said this play is "A thoroughly entertaining comedy-drama! An impressive advance for Colman Domingo."

Saturday, November 8 - TD James Moody Jazz Festival: Pianist George Cables. In 1976, tenor saxophonist Dexter Gordon made a triumphant return to the United States after spending 14 years living in Copenhagen. He quickly established a working quartet with George Cables on piano, Rufus Reid on bass, and Eddie Gladden on drums. Cables, who will turn 81 on November 14, believes being hired by Gordon was a pivotal point in his career. "Up until that time," he said, "I was spending a lot of time with the electric piano and with other keyboards -- clavinet, synthesizer, and the like. With Dexter, for me, it was rediscovering the piano."

 

Sunday, November 9 - Teaneck International Film Festival presents "Lilly" as Closing Film. (TEANECK, NJ) -- The Teaneck International Film Festival's 20th year program will close with the feature film, Lilly, on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 7:30pm, at Temple Emeth (1666 Windsor Rd) in Teaneck. The film, based on the true story of Lilly Ledbetter, whose fight for equal rights in the workplace led to state and national legislation, is sponsored by YWCA of Northern New Jersey, Senator Loretta Weinberg, National Council of Jewish Women Bergen County Section, Shahanaz Arjumand, and WOW (Women of Wisdom).

Sunday, November 9 - Teaneck International Film Festival presents "Plastic People". (TEANECK, NJ) -- As part of its 20th anniversary celebration, the Teaneck International Film Festival (TIFF) continues its tradition of "Activism: Making Change" with the powerful environmental documentary Plastic People, screening on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 12:30pm at the Puffin Cultural Forum, followed by a dynamic panel discussion on the growing crisis of microplastics and what New Jersey can do to lead the way toward a cleaner, safer future.

Thursday, November 6 - Inaugural "Everything Fab Four" Fest to feature Max Weinberg, The Weeklings, Jake Clemons & many more. (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The seminal 1965 album Rubber Soul, often considered the first major turning point in The Beatles' recorded career, will take center stage November 6-8, 2025, at the inaugural Everything Fab Four Fest at the historic Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel.

Thursday, November 6 - Sensorium Emporium hosts Songwriter Circle on Thursday. (RED BANK, NJ) -- Local music lovers are invited to a cozy and intimate Songwriter Circle at Sensorium Emporium on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Five of the best local musicians will perform their original music and will tell the story behind the song - what inspired them to write it.

Friday, November 7 - Exit Zero Jazz Festival to Take Place in Cape May November 7-9. (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- The Exit Zero Jazz Festival takes place in Cape May from November 7-9, 2025. Performances take place in several venues with Stanley Clarke and Cassandra Wilson as the festival headliners.

Friday, November 7 - Blues-Rock Trio Twisted Livin' to Make Anchor Rock Club Debut. (ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Twisted Livin', breakout New Jersey-based blues rock trio, make their performing debut at Atlantic City's premiere non-casino live music venue, Anchor Rock Club on Friday, November 7, 2025. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm. The Billy Walton Band will also perform.

Friday, November 7 - RVCC Student Vocalists to Perform 'Evening of German Art Song'. (BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Arts & Design department at Raritan Valley Community College will present "Liederabend: An Evening of German Art Song," Friday, November 7, 2025 at 7:00pm. The event, which is open to the public, will feature the voice students of Dr. Will Berman, RVCC Instructor of Music. It will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College's Branchburg campus.

Saturday, November 8 - NJPAC presents 14th Annual TD James Moody Festival. (NEWARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents the 14th annual TD James Moody Festival from November 8-23, 2025. Co-curated by NJPAC's Jazz Advisor Christian McBride, this year's festival, which draws thousands of fans to the city of Newark, aims to showcase jazz as a powerful cultural force for social justice.

Saturday, November 8 - Golden Nugget presents 1964 The Tribute. (ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- The Golden Nugget presents 1964 The Tribute on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 9:00pm. "1964" focuses on the quintessential moment in history, when The Beatles actually played before a LIVE audience. The Beatles toured the world in the early 1960's, but now only a precious few remain who actually saw them LIVE. Who actually felt the "mania" that brought them to world acclaim.

Saturday, November 8 - Scottish Rite Auditorium presents Boney James: Slow Burn Tour. (COLLINGSWOOD, NJ) -- Scottish Rite Auditorium presents Boney James: Slow Burn Tour on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Doors open at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm.

Sunday, November 9 - Morris Museum presents Lyrica Chamber Music. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Cellist Ani Kalayjian and pianist David Kaplan, Co-Artistic Directors of Chatham-based Lyrica Chamber Music, curate a program featuring the triumphant A major Dvorak piano quintet, Florence Price, Amy Beach, "Armenian/Danish Folk Mixtape" featuring Komitas/Aslamazyan and Danish String Quartet arrangements Wood Works, and Brahms! The event takes place at the Morris Museum on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 3:00pm.

Luna Stage's Off-Broadway Hit "Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library" Comes Home to West Orange. (WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Launching Luna Stage's 2025-2026 season with a five-week run, the two-time Off-Broadway hit Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library returns to Luna from October 3rd to November 9, 2025. Jenny Lyn Bader's play, praised by John McWhorter in the New York Times as "a lesson on perceiving humanity and even dignity in all people under even the toughest of conditions," was called of the Best Dramas of the Year by This Week in New York, selected as one of Cititour's Hot 5 Off-Broadway Shows, and named to Theaterscene's 2024 10 Best List.

Ego Actus Theatre Company to Present a Reading Series Showcasing Female Playwrights. (NEW YORK, NY) -- Ego Actus Theatre Company will bring six new plays to life in the Women's Drama Reading Series. The readings are free to the public and will take place on Monday nights from October 6 - November 10, 2025 at The Episocopal Actor's Guild (East 29th St, NYC 10016). Women’s Drama is in response to the lack of diversity in many NYC and national theatre companys seasons this year.

Hudson Theatre Works presents Edward Albee's "At Home At The Zoo". (WEEHAWKEN, NJ) -- Hudson Theatre Works is starting its season of plays, until the Performing Arts Center is completed, at the historic Weehawken Water Tower. The season begins with Edward Albee's "At Home At The Zoo" running from October 23 - November 8, 2025. This work combines Albee's groundbreaking 1959 short play The Zoo Story with his acclaimed prequel Homelife written in 2004.

American Theater Group presents "Our Town". (UNION, NJ) -- American Theater Group (ATG) presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning Our Town by Thornton Wilder as the company's 2025-26 Season Opener. The production runs October 23 through November 9, 2025 at the DMK Theater in Union and at the Sieminski Theater in Basking Ridge.

Bridge Players Theatre Company presents "The Memory of Water". (BURLINGTON, NJ) -- Bridge Players Theatre Company presents The Memory of Water by Shelagh Stephenson weekends from October 24 to November 8, 2025. Three sisters reunite for their mother's funeral in this poignant and darkly funny play.

Nutley Little Theatre presents "The Waverly Gallery". (NUTLEY, NJ) -- Nutley Little Theatre presents The Waverly Gallery weekends from October 24 - November 8, 2025. The play written by Kenneth Lonergan follows Gladys, the elderly matriarch of the Green family, who has run an art gallery in a small Greenwich Village hotel for many years.

Bergen County Players presents "The Game's Afoot: Or Holmes for the Holidays". (ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players is thrilled to continue its 93rd season with Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig's uproarious whodunnit The Game's Afoot: Or Holmes for the Holidays. The limited run opens October 25 and runs through November 15, 2025. It takes place Christmas Eve 1936 and Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, invites his fellow Broadway cast members to his lavish Connecticut mansion for an elegant weekend of revelry.

Passage Theatre Company to stage classic Amiri Baraka plays Dutchman and The Slave as two acts of the same show. (TRENTON, NJ) -- Hot off the heels of a landmark 40th Anniversary season, Passage Theatre Company is starting season 41 ready to take on new creative challenges and present socially relevant professional theater for the capital city of New Jersey. The first show of the new season is a visionary staging of two of Amiri Baraka's plays, Dutchman and The Slave, directed as two acts of one full-length play by Passage Theatre's season 41 artist-in-residence Ozzie Jones. This production stars Phillip Brown as CLAY and WALKER, Deidre Rose as LULA and GRACE, and Peter Bisgaier as BRADFORD EASLEY. The production runs Wednesdays through Sundays, from October 30th to November 16th, 2025.

Arden Theatre Company presents "The Mountaintop" by Katori Hall. (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Arden Theatre Company presents The Mountaintop, written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall, and directed by Barrymore Award-winning director Brett Ashley Robinson. Running October 30 through December 14, 2025 on the Arcadia Stage, the 90-minute reimagining of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s final night, invites audiences into a deeply intimate and human portrait of one of the most iconic leaders of the 20th century.

NJ Rep presents the World Premiere of "The Drop Off" by James Anthony Tyler. (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ Rep) is proud to present the world premiere of The Drop Off, a powerful new comic-drama by James Anthony Tyler, recipient of the 3rd Annual Horton Foote Playwriting Award. Directed by Delicia Turner Sonnenberg, performances will run October 30 through November 23, 2025, and opening night will be celebrated on November 1 at 7:00pm.

Theatre Exile presents The Philly Premiere of Max Wolf Friedlich's "JOB". (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Theatre Exile presents the Philadelphia premiere of award-winning playwright Max Wolf Friedlich's psychological thriller JOB, directed by Producing Artistic Director Deborah Block. The production runs October 30 through November 16, 2025. JOB is a gripping two-hander in which a therapist meets a patient, an ambitious Silicon Valley employee whose life has begun to unravel.

Two River Theater presents World Premiere of "The Monsters". (RED BANK, NJ) -- Two River Theater presents the world premiere of The Monsters, a sibling love story, written and directed by Ngozi Anyanwu (Good Grief, The Homecoming Queen, The Last of the Love Letters). Commissioned by TRT and presented as a co-production with Manhattan Theatre Club, this powerful new drama will run in the intimate Marion Huber Theater from November 1–23, 2025.

Two River Theater presents the World Premiere of "The Monsters: A Sibling Love Story". (RED BANK, NJ) -- Two River Theater presents the world premiere of The Monsters: A Sibling Love Story, written and directed by Ngozi Anyanwu (Good Grief, The Homecoming Queen, The Last of the Love Letters). Originally commissioned by TRT and presented as a co-production with Manhattan Theatre Club, this powerful new drama will run in the intimate Marion Huber Theater from November 1–23, 2025.

The Village Playbox presents "SHOWPLACE - the story of Steel Pier". (HADDON HEIGHTS, NJ) — The Village Playbox presents a new original musical by local playwright Rob Kristie - SHOWPLACE - the story of Steel Pier across three weekends from November 6-22, 2025. This is a story about the iconic and legendary venue in Atlantic City, NJ. It contains both fictional and non-fictional characters and covers the period from 1925 to 1977.

Liberty Arts Theatre presents "Michelle's Bark Mitzvah Bash". (LEONIA, NJ) -- Liberty Arts Theatre presents Michelle's Bark Mitzvah Bash from November 6-9, 2025 at The American Legion - Post #1 in Leonia. What happens when a family of Re-PUP-licans and Demo-CATs get together?

Middlesex College presents "Native Gardens". (EDISON, NJ) -- Middlesex College's Visual, Performing, and Media Arts Department presents Native Gardens across two weekends (November 6-8 and November 13-15, 2025) at the Studio Theater in Edison. The 90-minute play, written by Karen Zacarías and directed by Devin Massih, is a sharp, funny, and timely comedy about fences, neighbors, and the messy beauty of finding common ground.

Holmdel Theatre Company presents "Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson - Apt. 2b". (HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Holmdel Theatre Company presents Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson - Apt. 2b across three weekends from November 7-23, 2025. This is the company's first full Main-Stage production since April 2024! It's a sharp, sassy, modern twist on a classic mystery by Kate Hamill.

The Levoy Theatre presents "Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella". (MILLVILLE, NJ) -- The Levoy Theatre presents Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella from November 7-16, 2025. The Broadway adaptation of the classic musical features new characters, a hilarious libretto, surprising twists, and an unforgettable score from Rodgers & Hammerstein.

The West Milford Players present "Finding Nemo, Jr.". (WEST MILFORD, NJ) -- The West Milford Players presents Finding Nemo, Jr. across two weekends from November 7-15, 2025. This is a musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Spotlight Players presents "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder". (MATAWAN, NJ) -- Spotlight Players presents A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder across two weekends from November 7-16, 2025 at the Presbyterian Church of Matawan. Follow the ambitious (and slightly devious) Monty Navarro, who discovers he's in line to a family fortune. The only problem? There are eight D'Ysquith heirs standing in his way — and Monty isn't one to wait around for his inheritance.

Oddball, Whodunit Farce 'Drop Dead!' Comes to Kelsey Theatre. (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- A comedic web of foul play, set against the backdrop of a "play within a play," comes to the stage of Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre when the Yardley Players present the farce "Drop Dead!" on MCCC's West Windsor Campus, weekends from November 7-16, 2025.

Maplewood Strollers presents Agatha Christie's "The Secret Adversary". (MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Maplewood Strollers presents an original adaptation of Agatha Christie's gripping thriller, The Secret Adversary across two weekends from November 7-15, 2025 at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts. Follow the daring and dizzying adventures of Tommy and Tuppence through 1920s London packed with fast-paced action, comedy, and a dash of romance. A performance not to be missed!

Playhouse 22 presents "The Cake" - a sweet dramedy about love and laughter. (EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Playhouse 22 presents The Cake weekends from November 7 - 23, 2025. The play by Bekah Brunstetter is a touching and topical comedy/drama in which a vivacious, conservative North Carolina baker named Della faces a crisis of conscience when Jen - whom she loves like a daughter - asks her to bake a cake for Jen's lesbian wedding.

Music Mountain Theatre presents "Annie". (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Leapin' Lizards! The irrepressible comic strip heroine comes to the Music Mountain Theatre stage in one of the world's best-loved musicals. Performances of Annie take place across three weekends from November 7-23, 2025.

Tuesday, November 4 - Romesh Ranganathan to Kick off North American Tour at NJPAC. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Romesh Ranganathan, one of the UK's biggest comedians, will be returning to America and Canada this November. The tour kicks off at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Thursday, November 6 - Bell Theater presents comedian Bobby Collins. (HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Bobby Collins comes to Bell Theater for a night of comedy to showcase the talent behind five comedy albums, three recorded specials, and two books. The event takes place Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Bell Theater at Bell Works. Showtime is 7:30pm.

Friday, November 7 - NJPAC presents Tom Papa. (NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center welcomes Passaic native Tom Papa, one of America's top comedians, back to NJPAC on Friday, November 7, 2025. Showtime is 7:00pm.

Saturday, November 8 - Uncle Vinnie's Comedy Club presents Pete Lee. (POINT PLEASANT, NJ) -- Uncle Vinnie's Comedy Club presents Pete Lee on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 7:00pm. Pete was the first standup comedian to get a standing ovation on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This happened after Jimmy personally attended one of Pete's live shows in NYC and immediately invited him on the show.

2025 Rutgers Jewish Film Festival Preview. (NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Rutgers Jewish Film Festival will feature eleven thought-provoking and entertaining films, dynamic discussions with filmmakers and special guests, and New Jersey premieres. Running from November 6-16, 2025, the festival will be held at the Regal Cinema Commerce Center, North Brunswick.

Teaneck International Film Festival announces Arfat Sheikh as Inaugural Emerging Filmmaker Activist Award Recipient. (TEANECK, NJ) -- The Teaneck International Film Festival (TIFF) is proud to announce filmmaker Arfat Sheikh as the inaugural recipient of the Emerging Filmmaker Activist Award for his debut film "Saffron Kingdom." The honor is open to the general public and will be presented at TIFF's 20th anniversary screening of the film on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Teaneck Cinemas. The screening begins at 3:00pm.

Thursday, November 6 - Developer Paul Silverman to be Honored for His Support of Public Art at NJ Creative Communities Conference.
