Saturday, January 11 - Split Level Concerts presents Jill Sobule at Jersey Shore Arts Center on January 11th. (OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Multi-talented singer/songwriter and guitarist Jill Sobule will perform at Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 8:00pm. Renee Maskin, a staple of the Asbury Park music scene, will open the show. The show is part of the on-going Split Level Concert Series which highlights renowned Americana and contemporary folk musicians in a uniquely intimate setting.

Tuesday, January 7 - Princeton Public Library hosts PSO Soundtracks Talk: A Symphony Celebration. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents a very special Soundtracks talk, "A Symphony Celebration", on Tuesday, January 7, 2024 at the Princeton Public Library. Edward T. Cone Music Director Rossen Milanov and former Executive Director Melanie Clarke look back at some of their favorite moments together on and off stage as they mark the Maestro's 60th birthday. Friday, January 10 - Triumph Brewery and Restaurant presents the Pete Rodríguez Quintet on Friday. (RED BANK, NJ) —- Triumph Brewery and Restaurant hosts the Pete Rodríguez Quintet on Friday, January 10, 2025 with sets at 8:30pm and 10:15pm. It is the New Jersey release of Rodríguez's dynamic new album, "I'm Pete Rodríguez, Vol. 1" which was recently named one of the Best of 2024 by the New York City Jazz Record. The powerhouse band will feature Rodríguez on trumpet, Jon Beshay on woodwinds, Silvano Monasterios on piano and Rudy Royston on drums.

This is the ultimate tribute to Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.

Saturday, January 11 - Centenary Stage Company presents 2025 Winter Thaw Music Festival. (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Start the New Year with Centenary Stage Company's Winter Thaw Music Festival. This year, the music festival will feature concert performances by Good Co., Judy Carmichael, TAKE3: Where Rock Meets Bach, and Gangstagrass throughout the next few weeks.

Sunday, January 12 - Silverstein to Celebrate 25th Anniversary with Tour that comes to Starland Ballroom. (SAYREVILLE, NJ) -- Canadian rock band Silverstein is celebrating their 25th year in 2025 with a tour that comes to the Starland Ballroom on Sunday, January 12th. Special guests Thursday and Split Chain will be on the bill as well.

Sunday, January 12 - Wharton Arts Presents Violins of Hope in A Concert for Peace - Youth Musicians To Perform on Instruments Saved from the Holocaust. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Wharton Arts will present A Concert for Peace with Violins of Hope, a poignant tribute to human resilience and the power of music, on January 12, 2025 at 3:00pm at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark. Led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Helen H. Cha-Pyo, this special concert showcases the extraordinary Violins of Hope, precious stringed instruments that survived the Holocaust.

Luna Stage's "Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library" Gets A New 5 Week Run Off Broadway. (NEW YORK, NY) -- Congrats to Luna Stage! Due to critical acclaim and an incredible run of sold out performances at 59E59 Theaters, Luna Stage's New York premiere of Jenny Lyn Bader's Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library, directed by Ari Laura Kreith, is extending and moving to Off-Broadway's WP Theater for a limited five-week engagement, December 10, 2024 – January 12, 2025.

Playhouse 22 presents "American Son" - a Play that Raises Questions about Race, Parenting, and Justice. (EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Start off the new year with "American Son", a drama by Christopher Demos-Brown and directed by Mimi B. Francis at Playhouse 22 that runs weekends from January 3-12, 2025. A play about an estranged bi-racial couple that must confront their feelings about race and bias after their son is detained by the local police following a traffic stop incident. Their disparate histories and backgrounds inform their assumptions as they try to find out what happened to their son.

American Theater Group's Monday Night Play Reading Series presents "Mother's Day" by Pandora Scooter. (RAHWAY, NJ) -- American Theater Group (ATG) will present the premiere reading of Pandora Scooter's new 2-person drama Mother's Day as part of its free Monday Night Play Reading Series on January 13, 2025 at Hamilton Stage in Rahway. The reading begins at 7:00pm.

The Maplewood Strollers to Hold Auditions for "The Colored Museum" by George C. Wolfe. (MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Maplewood Strollers are holding auditions for The Colored Museum by George C. Wolfe on Monday, January 13 and Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Burgdorff Center. Auditions will take place from 7:00pm to 10:00pm both nights. Callbacks will take place on Wednesday, January 15th at 7:00pm. The production will be Directed by Victoria Lauture Duncker with Musical Direction by Ebony Wiggins.

Thursday, January 9 - Ocean County Library Manchester Branch Holds Book Lovers' Book Cafe on January 9th. (MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- After you’ve curled up with a book you can’t put down, do you want to tell someone about it? Share it in the Book Lovers' Book Café in the Ocean County Library Manchester Branch. The first session of 2025 takes place Thursday, January 9th at 2:00pm.

Saturday, January 11 - RVCC Planetarium to Present New Star Show in January Focusing on Asteroids. (BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium in Branchburg will launch 2025 with a new star show, Asteroid: Mission Extreme. Recommended for audience members ages 8 to adult, the program will be presented Saturdays, January 11, 18, 25, 2025 at 7:00pm.

Saturday, January 11 - The National Association of Women Artists and Green Door Studio presents Feminine Horizon: Inner and Outer Landscapes. (MILLBURN, NJ) -- The National Association of Women Artists and Green Door Studio presents Feminine Horizon: Inner and Outer Landscapes, an In-Person Exhibition that features NAWA Signature Members at Green Door Studio. The Garden State Wine Growers Association (GSWGA) has announced the cancellation of Sips, Stars & Stripes: A NJ Wine Revolution, originally scheduled for May 30, 2026. The decision comes in response to the unprecedented freeze events that impacted vineyards across New Jersey during April 2026. According to vineyard managers and growers throughout the state, prolonged overnight temperatures below freezing caused extensive and widespread damage to grapevines in nearly every wine-producing region of New Jersey.
