Longstanding and well-known on the New Jersey punk scene, Jon Caspi & The First Gun, have released a new track entitled "She Is Fine." It features the punk rock legend Dez Cadena (of Black Flag, Misfits, FLAG) who became an official member of Jon Caspi & The First Gun in 2016.
The song is a combination of punk rock, psychedelia and classic rock. It's about a moment in relationships with which we are all familiar. A guy notices his girlfriend has a bad look on her face. He asks, “What’s wrong?” And she says…here it comes… “Nothing. I’m fine.”
She is Fine is about the guy who lives in fear of his partner’s discontent. It is high-energy, hooky, and it rocks with epic landscaping. Is it 60's? 70’s? 90’s? Modern rock? It’s hard to place this gem of a song. It doesn’t sound like anyone else and unclear where it fits in the rock and roll pantheon.
