(PITMAN, NJ) -- Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents a Comedy Night with Jonathan van Halem on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 7:30pm. Special guest Kirsten Michelle Cills will open the night.
Jonathan van Halem is a New York City–based stand-up comedian with a sharp, observational style and a talent for turning everyday frustrations into big laughs. He currently works at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and has previously written for Stephen Colbert Presents Tooning Out The News, with additional credits as a contributor to ClickHole.
A frequent opener for comedians like David Cross, Rory Scovel, Gianmarco Soresi, Kyle Gordon, and Sabrina Wu, Jonathan also hosts the popular monthly show Hot Gossip at Union Hall in Brooklyn, featured in The New York Times and Brooklyn Magazine.
Jonathan’s comedy has found massive success online, with clips regularly pulling in millions of views on Instagram and TikTok, including a rant against AMC A-List named one of Vulture’s Best Comedy Shorts of June 2024. Whether on stage or on your screen, he delivers smart, relatable comedy that hits close to home. When he’s not performing, he’s patiently waiting for the New York Mets to win the World Series—and yes, his favorite Family Guy character is Stewie.

Opener Kirsten Michelle Cills is a standup comic and writer known for her macabre demeanor, the oxygen tank that often accompanies her, and her unwavering Philly roots. Kirsten can be seen headlining comedy clubs all across the US, and was recently featured in the Netflix is a Joke Festival. She was named ‘Best of Fest’ at both the Big Pine Comedy Festival & Boston Comedy Festival. When not correcting people’s pronunciation of her name or talking about the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2018 Super Bowl win, Kirsten is committed to her passion of bringing humor to the topics we aren’t supposed to discuss at the dinner table.
