'Flawless' Will Get You Questioning AI


Premiere Stages' production of John J. Wooten's play Flawless is now running at Kean University's Bauer Boucher Theatre Center in Union, NJ. The play is about how Artificial Intelligence (AI) takes over two playwrights. In a word, it is scary! Not the type of scary we think of like we might see at Halloween. But it is scary because there are elements of what could happen as AI continues its descent on the world.

Broadway star Jessica Vosk kicks off MPAC's 32nd Season on September 18th

Film Review - "Fall 2: Deadpoint"


Director Scott Mann's 2022 movie Fall took the survival thriller to new heights with its dizzying scenario of two young daredevils (played by Virginia Gardner and Grace Caroline Currey) stuck 2,000 feet in the air atop a gigantic TV tower. It was a simple but very well executed piece of filmmaking that preyed on our fear of heights, and while the movie was sadly underseen on the big screen where its vertiginous thrills were most effective, it found an audience on streaming. And so we get Fall 2 (released in the US as Fall 2: Deadpoint), the first of two sequels.

Dancing with Horses at the New Jersey Film Festival


In Imprinted, the film opens with a dancer saying she learned early to be resilient, to keep moving, always anticipating the next moment, and that the resilience distanced her from her heart. Eighty minutes later, the film ends in stillness. Everything between those two points is the route from one to the other, and the route runs through horses.
