(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Golden Nugget Atlantic City presents The Rocket Man Show on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 8:00pm in The Grand. Crash land into your seat with this tribute show that stars Scotsman Rus Anderson - Elton John's official stunt & body double for various 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' world tour projects.
Hand picked by Elton John & David Furnish for the role, it was Rus' own live Broadway-esque production 'The Rocket Man Show' which got him noticed. In the show, you witness the magic & live persona of a 1970's Elton, recreated like no other. Rus storms around the stage with a fun-loving sense of flamboyance; part diva, part soccer player, killer vocalist, fierce piano player, all rock & roller.
The Rocket Man Show is a regular feature on many of the most prestigious & famous stages across the USA, from legendary rock clubs to opera houses.
Tickets start at $49.30 and are available for purchase online. The Golden Nugget is located at Huron Avenue & Brigantine Boulevard in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Rus' painstaking attention to detail includes wearing gorgeous, colorful & spectacular costumes - including Elton's iconic boots, glasses & jumpsuits from the 70's, as well as sparkly Swarovski tuxedos from the 80's. Many of the items were owned & worn by Elton for various live concerts.
Now part of The Broadway/ rock show crossover series, the performance itself is an extremely sincere, intense & visual spectacle of a journey. With the perfect blend of humor, cabaret, costuming, tales from the road, ballads & thunderous rock songs, audiences laugh, cry, sing & dance as they recall the highs & lows of Elton's epic career. Rus Anderson has been officially hired by Elton John himself to re-enact some of his most memorable moments. How's that for a resume?
As well as touring with their full stage production, Rus & the team are involved with many film, tv, radio & private projects, as well as worldwide product launches & special events.
Rus' portrayal of Elton has been described as “Amazing” by Jimmy Fallon & “Phenomenal” by Queen's Adam Lambert. The Rocket Man Show has quickly joined the list of must-see tickets in town & is perhaps summed up best by “All About That Bass” megastar Meghan Trainor who claims “You IS Elton!”

Known for her confessional lyrics and raspy, smoky vocals, Melissa Etheridge (“I’m the Only One” “Come to My Window,” “I Want to Come Over.”) has remained one of America’s favorite female singers since bursting onto the scene in 1988. Etheridge performs songs from her new album, Rise, and her hits.

Dion and his music have long represented a special time and place, reflective of a moment when a song could mean so much. When a singer could sum up what it means to be young, in love and on top of the world. Dion is more than a cherished memory as critic Dave Marsh noted, “Dion is the only artist from the 1950’s who has remained creative and relevant into the 2000s.” In 1958 he had three top-forty hits. In 2008 he was nominated for a Grammy. In 2020, is releasing new studio album Blues with Friends, joined by Joe Bonamassa, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons and many other rock luminaries. In the ’50s he was one of a handful of innovators who defined rock ‘n’ roll and that’s still very much the case.
