
(ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ) -- Magnolia Productions presents Are The Bennet Girls Ok? across two weekends from July 31 to August 8, 2026 at The Theater at The Navesink Library. This is an adaptation of Pride & Prejudice by Emily Breeze.
The play explores the relationship between the Bennet sisters and their mother as they navigate the increasingly desperate world of marriage market economics, as they wait for Mr. Bennet to die. Is is an irreverent retelling in modern language, complete with uncomfortable truths about how and why people end up together.
The cast includes Wren Cafferty (Mary), Adrianna Pizzuta (Jane), Anna Glenn Sparks (Lizzie), Sharon Coyle (Mrs. Bennet), Emily Ommerborn (Lydia), Anthony DeMarco (Darcy and more), Sam Bruccoliere (Charlotte), Isabella Sidarous (Kitty), Chiara Guella (Georgiana), and Eric Parsler (Mr. Collins). The production is directed by Anne Morgan.

Performances take place Fridays at 7:30pm and Saturdays at 2:00pm & 7:30pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The Navesink Library is located at 149 Monmouth Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.
Emily Breeze is a playwright and screenwriter based on the east coast; her plays include Mother Says She’s Shocked Her Children Are Upset (Part 5), Whore and Wife, No She’s Like a Genius, They Died from Their Wounds, and Are The Bennet Girls OK?, a NYT Critic’s Pick.
Emily Breeze's debut short film, “Shallow Water”, premiered in 2023 at the Phoenix Film Festival, and was screened at the Ridgefield Independent Film Festival, the Roze Filmdagen, and the Bridgeport Film Festival among others. Awards include the 2020/21 GreenStage Live Arts Artist Award for her play The Homewrecker (co-written with Marialena DiFabbio), and the 2021 Rising Artist Award for her play Hallmark. Residencies include Millay Arts, the Wrtier’s Colony at Dairy Hollow, Long Wharf Theatre Artistic Residency, and the 2022/23 Playwright-in-Residence for The Bechdel Group. BA Vassar College.
