
(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The MAC Players at the Middletown Arts Center present The Little Mermaid across two weekends from July 10-19, 2026. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages.
With music by eight-time Academy Award winner, Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.”
The production is directed by Bailey Dumlao with musical direction by Lauryn Boyle and choreography by Njelama Dacas Johnson.
The cast includes Felicia Russell (Ariel), Arron Little (Eric), Javier Coss (Sebastian), Megan Rafferty (Flounder), Lizzy Stefanic (Scuttle), Evan Cerqueira (Ursula), Emily Elias (Flotsam), Eva Demsky (Jetsam), Randy Hurst (King Triton), Brittany Ahr (Chef Louis), Samantha Ust (Grimsby / Ensemble), Ella Mangano (Mersister), Juliette Skvarenina (Mersister), Caitlyn Kaiser (Mersister), Haley Bella Seda (Mersister), Evelynn Knox (Mersister), Gloria Licona Klein (Mersister), James Freedley (Ensemble/Windward), and Gabrielle Kendrick (Ensemble/Leeward).
Performances take place Friday, July 10 at 7:00pm; Saturday, July 11 at 2:00pm; Sunday, July 12 at 2:00pm; Friday, July 17 at 7:00pm; Saturday, July 18 at 7:00pm; and Sunday, July 19 at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The venue is located at 36 Church Street in Middletown, New Jersey.
The MAC Players community theater group was formed in March, 2022, and has presented several wonderful productions including SHREK The Musical, The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy, The Marvelous Wonderettes, SEUSSICAL, The SpongeBob Musical, Guys and Dolls, Jesus Christ Superstar, Legally Blonde the Musical and Into the Woods.
The Middletown Arts Center (MAC) is an award-winning, state-of-the-art facility that offers performances, exhibits, classes, demonstrations and camps centering on the arts.
