(OGDENSBURG, NJ) -- North Star Theater Company presents The 39 Steps from April 30 to May 3, 2026 at the NSTC Studio Theater. This is a wildly inventive comedy thriller adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan and the classic Alfred Hitchcock film. Directed by Bert Piper, this high-energy production features a talented cast bringing dozens of characters to life in a whirlwind of quick changes, physical comedy, and theatrical ingenuity.
With its clever staging, rapid-fire humor, and interactive surprises, The 39 Steps promises an unforgettable night of theatre that will keep audiences laughing and guessing until the very end.
"The 39 Steps is a rollicking rollercoaster of a comedy, with zany characters, witty banter, inventive staging, and a never ending supply of jokes, gags, clowning, and laughter," explained director, Bert Piper. "As I've told the actors, once the show starts, it's like being shot out of a canon. The moment the lights go up you are in for a fast paced spy thriller told in the funniest ways possible."
Performances take place Thursday through Saturday nights at 7:30pm and matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. A special talkback with the director will follow the 2:00 PM performance on Saturday, offering audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process. The NSTC Studio Theater is located at 21 Kennedy Avenue in Ogdensburg, New Jersey.
In addition to the excitement on stage, patrons can elevate their experience with exclusive Premium Club Seating, where a select group of audience will have a chance to interact with the actors in the show. These seats are very limited.
