(OLD BRIDGE, NJ) -- Main Street Theatre Company presents Annie KIDS on May 23-24, 2026. The irrepressible comic strip heroine takes center stage in one of the world's best-loved, Award-winning musicals.
Based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, with a beloved book and score by Tony Award-winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, Annie KIDS features everyone’s favorite little redhead in her very first adventure.
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
Performances take place Saturday, May 23 at 3:30pm and Sunday, May 24 at 3:30pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The theater is located at 70 County Road 516 in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Annie KIDS is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
The Main Street Theatre Company was founded over 25 years ago by a group of Sayreville High School Graduates who shared a common vision of bringing a high quality community theater to the Greater Middlesex County Community. The group has produced hundreds of theatrical productions; including over 130 full scale plays and musicals, 45 Kidworks Theatre for Children productions, 6 original works, as well as 3 NJ “premiere” productions.
