(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company is seeking non-equity singer/actors who are excellent movers/dancers for the 2026 NEXTStage Repertory 2026 Summer Season. The summer season includes The Wedding Singer and Maltby & Shire's Closer Than Ever. Auditions will be held by appointment on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 10:00am–4:00pm in the Lackland Performing Arts Center.
To schedule an appointment please contact the CSC box office directly at (908) 979 – 0900. Appointments are highly encouraged; walk-ups will be seen on a first come first serve basis as time permits.
Interested performers should prepare 16–32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre selection. Bring clearly marked sheet music in a binder (and/or be prepared with a track, if applicable). Those asked to dance will attend a dance call from 4:40pm–5:30pm. Please wear dance-appropriate attire and bring proper footwear.
All ages and ethnicities are encouraged to attend. All roles are open. Centenary's NEXTStage Repertory Summer 2026 is a non-union summer stock theater with limited housing and performance stipends available pending casting.
The Lackland Performing Arts Center is located on the campus of Centenary University at 715 Grand Avenue in Hackettstown, New Jersey.
The Wedding Singer features music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, a book by Chad Beguelin & Tim Herlihy and is based on the 1998 New Line Cinema film written by Tim Herlihy. Performances run July 9-19.

Glen Guglia | Julia's fiancé. A Wall Street broker. He is rich, shallow, and materialistic. Gender: Male | Age: 30–50 | Vocal Range: D4–B5
Rosie | Robbie's grandmother who raised him. Strong comedic timing. Can rap. Gender: Female | Age: 60–80 | Vocal Range: C4–C5
Linda | Robbie's fiancé who leaves him at the altar. Keeps Robbie around as a back-up plan. Typical 1980's Jersey Girl. Gender: Female | Age: 20–35 | Vocal Range: A3–D5
Other roles include Donatella, Shane McDonough, Ricky (bartender), Bar Regular, and various other featured ensemble roles.
Maltby & Shire's Closer Than Ever features music by David Shire, lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr., and conceived by Steven Scott Smith. Performances for Maltby & Shire's Closer Than Ever run July 30 through August 9.
