(VERNON, NJ) -- Mountain Creek Resort, the New York Metro Area's premier four-season mountain adventure destination, presents a weekend celebration honoring its 60-year legacy in Vernon. On Saturday, January 24, and Sunday, January 25, 2026, guests are encouraged to visit the mountain for its 60th Anniversary Festival, a two-day event featuring retro-themed discounted lift tickets, a terrain-park competition, and après-style fun and live entertainment at both the resort's South Base and Vernon Base.

Limited quantity $60 lift tickets, in honor of 60 years, are available on-site with a catch: guests must come ready to hit the slopes dressed in retro-gear. Keeping retro in mind, guests are also encouraged to dig up any memories from the mountain in years past, with the opportunity to have their photos or videos showcased throughout the festival, as well as the chance to have any iconic equipment, gear or merch they may have - spanning its history dating back to the era when the resort was known as Vernon Valley or Great Gorge - on display.

"We've got some incredible momentum right now, with one of the best season starts on record here in Vernon," said Evan Kovach, General Manager. "We want to build on this energy and keep the vibe going, and what better way to do that than by throwing a big party – that's exactly what this 60th Anniversary Festival is. We're excited to see what retro-style outfits guests show up in to take advantage of the $60 lift tickets and know there's plenty of skiers and snowboarders that are going to put on quite the show at the Legacy Rail Jam terrain park competition. It's two full days of fun and entertainment, to celebrate our 60th."

For the daring looking to showcase their best skills and tricks, the 60th Anniversary Festival will include Mountain Creek's Legacy Rail Jam terrain park competition which takes place on Saturday, January 24. Across several events, guests will have the chance to compete for not just bragging rights, but gear, and cash prizes for Best Trick, presented by Bubbakoo's Burritos, and Best Overall performance, presented by Pepsi.
