Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater & Music Theater presents "A Moment of Silence" by Mohammad Yaghoubi
 

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater and Music Theater at Princeton University presents A Moment of Silence by celebrated Iranian playwright and director Mohammad Yaghoubi. The play, presented in an English translation, offers a surreal, poetic, unexpectedly humorous, and deeply human meditation on Iran's turbulent modern history. Performances are October 31, November 1 and 7 at 8:00pm and November 8, 2025 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm at the Berlind Theatre at McCarter Theatre Center.

 


The Players Guild of Leonia to hold auditions for "Blithe Spirit"
 

(LEONIA, NJ) -- The Players Guild of Leonia will hold auditions for Blithe Spirit on Monday, October 27 at 7:30pm; Tuesday, October 28 at 7:30pm; and Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 10:00am. This is a delightfully witty comedy by Noël Coward. Auditions will take place at the theater (130 Grand Ave.) in Leonia, NJ. The production will be directed by Glenn Woertz.

 


Art House Productions Announces 2025-26 Inkubator Playwrights Cohort
 

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions is proud to announce the 2025-2026 cohort of its INKubator New Play Program. INKubator is a year-long generative process for a select group of six playwrights in residence at Art House Productions. This year's playwrights are Allyson Dwyer, Oded Gross, Cristina Luzárraga, Erin Mallon, Kyle Mazer, and Ferdinand Moscat.

 


American Theater Group presents "Our Town"
 

(UNION, NJ) -- American Theater Group (ATG) presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning Our Town by Thornton Wilder as the company's 2025-26 Season Opener. The production runs October 23 through November 9, 2025 at the DMK Theater in Union and at the Sieminski Theater in Basking Ridge.

At William Paterson, Ted Rosenthal Will Showcase His Trio Arrangements of Music by George Gershwin
 

About 12 years ago, pianist Ted Rosenthal was approached about performing George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue in a small venue. "I said, as a matter of fact, I've been thinking of coming up with a trio arrangement, so why don't we make this an occasion where we actually put a trio arrangement together for this concert."
