Senior Artists Showcase Excellence at 59th NJ Senior Citizen Art Show

originally published: 10/06/2025

(EAST WINDSOR, NJ) -- The 59th Annual New Jersey Senior Citizen Art Show opened on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Meadow Lakes Senior Living (300 Meadow Lakes) in East Windsor. The exhibition will remain open to the public through Thursday, November 6, 2025.

The exhibition will feature more than 300 outstanding works of art, and marks the culmination of local Senior Citizen Art Shows held throughout New Jersey this year. All featured works were First Place winners in their local show, with twenty of the State's twenty-one counties represented.

The exhibit includes works by both professional and non-professional artists across 11 categories: acrylic, craft, digital art, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography, print, sculpture, watercolor, and works on paper.

All artwork will be evaluated by a panel of three professional artists. Judges will select First, Second, and Third Place winners, as well as Honorable Mentions in each category. One non-professional and one professional piece will be awarded Best in Show.

"It's always exciting to see the best work of New Jersey's senior artists gathered in one place," said Mercer County Executive Dan Benson. "We're honored to once again host this exhibition with the State Council on the Arts, and to celebrate the talent and creativity on display."

"The Mercer County team leads this important and longstanding project with close care and attention, knowing how impactful it is to the artists, their families, and the community."

An Awards Ceremony and Closing Reception will be held later this fall to honor the participating artists and present awards.
