Thursday, July 31 - Comedian John Poveromo Talks About Hosting a Q&A with the Head and the Heart at The Stone Pony. (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The Head and the Heart headline a show at The Stone Pony Summer Stage on Thursday, July 31, 2025. The bill also includes sets by Wilderado and Marfa. For fans who purchased the VIP package from the band, they'll see a special Q&A hosted by comedian John Poveromo, host of the popular podcast Dystopia Tonight. We spoke with him to learn more about the Q&A.

Saturday, August 2 - Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts presents Aria Nouveau. (BURLINGTON, NJ) -- On Saturday, August 2, 2025, the City of Burlington, Mayor Barry Conaway, and Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts' co-artistic directors, Barbara Fisher and Patty Howard will welcome Aria Nouveau. This is a classical crossover performance featuring vocalists Laura Auer (soprano) and John Riesen (tenor). Showtime is 11:30am.

Sunday, August 3 - Cape May Convention Hall presents The Bacon Brothers. (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- The Bacon Brothers look forward to taking their show on the road this Spring. The Freestanding Tour winds its way to Cape May Convention Hall on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 8:00pm. The 5-piece outfit is rehearsed and raring to go and looking forward to playing at sold-out houses of enthusiastic fans along the way. Kevin declares, "Connecting with people through music is a joy!"

Sunday, August 3 - Surflight Theatre presents Teen Cabaret: Summer Nights Who Spilled The Tea? The Drama Doesn't Only Happen On Stage!. (BEACH HAVEN, NJ) -- Surflight Theatre is proud to debut its Teen Cabaret: Summer Nights Who Spilled The Tea? The Drama Doesn't Only Happen On Stage! on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at QC Market in Beach Haven. The event begins at 8:00pm as part of Surflight's Education Department programs for the Summer 2025 season.

Japanese Superstar Ado to Perform at Prudential Center in August  (NEWARK, NJ) -- Crunchyroll, the global brand for anime, has announced that iconic Japanese vocalist Ado will embark on her second world tour, Ado WORLD TOUR 2025 "Hibana" Powered by Crunchyroll, reaching even more fans worldwide next year. The tour comes to the Prudential Center in Newark on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 8:00pm.

Dave Koz brings his Summer Horns tour to MPAC in August  (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Get set for a night of smooth summer jazz and funk with a touch of the sounds of the 1970s when Grammy-nominated saxophonist Dave Koz comes to Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) as part of his Dave Koz & Friends Summer Horns 2025 tour on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 7:30pm.

The Masterworks Choir presents "Singing Hearts"  (OCEAN CITY, NJ) -- The Masterworks Choir presents "Singing Hearts," featuring works by Rutter, Chilcott, Consolacion, Nestor, Vaughan Williams, Bernstein, Copland and more, with a special performance by The Masterworks Summer Bell Choir, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church. Showtime is 7:30pm.

New Jersey Lyric Opera Features Carmen, La Boheme for Summer Opera Festival at Kelsey Theatre  (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- New Jersey Lyric Opera (NJLO) returns to Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre for the third consecutive year with a weekend of opera favorites on Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor Campus, August 7-10, 2025 during the Summer Opera Festival.

Katy Perry to Play Shows in Philly, NYC, and NJ in August  (NEWARK, NJ) -- After selling out shows around the world for her upcoming The Lifetimes Tour, Katy Perry will launch an extensive run in the United States, beginning in May. Produced by Live Nation, the U.S. leg of the tour includes shows at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, August 9; Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, on Monday, August 11; and Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

West Windsor Arts presents Summer Music and More with Swara  (PRINCETON, NJ) -- West Windsor Arts presents Summer Music and More with Swara (a multi-genre Indian American band) on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 5:00pm - 7:30pm at the Nassau Park Pavilion. Dan Kassel and Friends featuring Johnny Zarfati will open the night. 

Albert Music Hall presents Pineystock  (WARETOWN, NJ) -- Albert Music Hall is set to present its first-ever Pineystock, a 1960s-themed music show inspired by the legendary Summer of '69. The event will take place on Sunday, August 10, 2025. Doors are at 1:00pm with music beginning at 2:00pm.

Villa Milagro Vineyards presents Acute Inflections  (PHILLIPSBURG, NJ) -- Villa Milagro Vineyards presents Acute Inflections, a NYC-based jazzy R&B duo, on Sunday, August 10, 2025. Newton Theatre presents An Evening with Joanne Shaw Taylor  (NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents An Evening with Joanne Shaw Taylor on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm.

The Newton Theatre presents Asleep at the Wheel  (NEWTON, NJ) -- On Friday, August 15, 2025, The Newton Theatre presents Asleep at the Wheel.  For over fifty years, Asleep at the Wheel’s Ray Benson has been traversing the globe as an ambassador of Western swing music and introducing its irresistible sound to generation after generation. More than 100 musicians have passed through the Wheel, but Benson remains the front man and the keeper of the vision, in the process racking up more than 30 albums, ten Grammy awards and literally millions of miles on the road.

Bees Deluxe to Headline Lizzie Rose Music Room; Renee Maskin to Open  (TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The British/Boston blues sensation, Bees Deluxe returns to The Lizzie Rose Music Room on Friday, August 15, 2025. Back by popular demand, the band has played at Lizzie Rose with the legendary Mike Zito and Joanne Connor. Now, they headline the evening with Asbury Park singer songwriter Renee Maskin opening.

A.R. Rahman to perform at Prudential Center  (NEWARK, NJ) -- Internationally acclaimed and award-winning composer/songwriter and superstar recording artist A.R. Rahman is bringing his new immersive live concert experience, The Wonderment Tour, to audiences across North America. The 16-date tour makes a stop at the Prudential Center in Newark on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

2025 Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival Announces Lineup  (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty has announced the line-up for this year's free annual Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival. It will be held on Saturday, August 16; on the Green. The music begins at noon and runs until 10:00pm. As it has for the past three years, the Festival will honor two of its founders, Linda Smith and Michael Fabrizio, who both sadly passed away in June 2021.

NJPAC presents Beres Hammond  (NEWARK, NJ) -- Experience the soulful magic of Beres Hammond, Jamaica's most prolific crooner, as he takes the stage at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) with a dynamic ensemble of talented friends, delivering an unforgettable evening filled with rich melodies and heartfelt performances on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Two NJ Jazz Musicians Will Play with The Jazz Ambassadors in Morristown  Pianist Anthony Pocetti grew up in Hamilton, NJ, studying piano, "doing sort of traditional piano lessons. I have an uncle who was always encouraging me to get into the jazz thing. He gave me the (Miles Davis) Kind of Blue CD, and he knew that the jazz pianist Jim Ridl was living in Hamilton."

Cypress Hill and Atmosphere to Play Stone Pony Summer Stage  (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Summer 2025 just got even busier for the West Coast hip-hop legends Cypress Hill as they'll be hitting the road for their month-long Dank Daze of Summer Tour with hip-hop duo, Atmosphere. Joining them will be Grammy Award-winning rapper Lupe Fiasco, and influential, LA-based hip-hop act The Pharcyde. The tour comes to the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park on Sunday, August 17th. Gates open at 5:00pm.

Newark to Host Annual Latin Festival on August 17th  (NEWARK, NJ) -- Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Deputy Mayor for Community Engagement Jacqueline Mercado-Quiles, and the Office of Violence Prevention and Trauma Recovery (OVPTR) will host the Annual Latin Festival on Sunday, August 17, 2025 from noon to 10:00pm, on Bloomfield Avenue between Lake Street and Clifton Avenue, in Newark's North Ward.

The Who Announce Shows in NJ, NY, PA for The Song is Over North America Farewell Tour  One of the greatest bands in rock history, The Who, have announced their bittersweet final tour of the US and Canada as a truly grand finale of their illustrious six-decade career. Fans will have several opportunities in the tri-state area to see the band one last time. Local shows include August 19th at Prudential Center in Newark, August 21st at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, August 23rd at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, and August 30th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
