Raise a Glass for A Great Cause: Wine on the Waterfront 2025 to take place Saturday at Washington Crossing Historic Park

originally published: 07/23/2025

(WASHINGTON CROSSING, PA) -- The Friends of Washington Crossing Park will be hosting Wine on the Waterfront this Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 1112 River Road in Washington Crossing, PA. The event is back in its eighth year, taking place on the scenic banks of the Delaware River from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. It features picnic fare paired with wine samples from top local vineyards and live jazz.

“Wine on the Waterfront is more than just an afternoon of great wine and music—it’s a celebration of community and a vital way to support historical and educational programs at the park,” said Jennifer Martin, Executive Director of the Friends of Washington Crossing Park. “Every ticket sold helps preserve the culture, history, and stories that make this place special.”

Tickets are $17.76 for Designated Drivers and $45 for General Admission, proceeds support the park’s programming. Tickets are available for purchase online.

This is an adults-only event, attendees must be 21 or older. All tickets grant access to a private event area along the Delaware River waterfront next to the historic Hibbs House Kitchen Garden. Home to a variety of 18th century flowers, herbs, and plants frequented by native pollinators, it's the ultimate backdrop for a summer picnic. Attendees are invited to set up blankets, chairs, tents, and umbrellas in the grass to savor food brought from home, or purchased from vendors onsite. Returning favorites include Goodnoe Farm Ice Cream and Local Harvest Pizza, while Brenner Board Bliss and Pretty Bird Coffee will make their debut.

Jazz music will be provided by the Keith Chasin Trio, who has performed at the park many times before, plus special guest vocalist and saxophonist, Ravi Seenarine. Led by pianist Keith Chasin, the group showcases Keith’s dynamic style and deep-rooted passion for jazz. Based in Philadelphia, Chasin has performed at prestigious venues including The Kimmel Center, Birdland, and Lincoln Center, and his work is regularly featured on WRTI 90.1FM. Despite his young age, he has already collaborated with jazz greats such as Jimmy Heath, Joe Lovano, Sean Jones, and Rene Marie, earning a reputation as a rising voice in today’s jazz scene.

General Admission tickets include a complimentary wine glass and one ounce wine samples. Bishop Estate, Crossing Vineyards, Cyrenity Sips, Grace Winery, Mount Bethel Farms, Rebel Hive, Sand Castle, and Unionville Vineyards are returning in 2025. They’ll be joined by A’Dello Vineyard & Winery, Blue Mountain Vineyards & Cellars, and J & P, who are new this year. For the first time, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase cocktails and slushies. Wine will also be available for purchase by the glass, bottle, and case, to enjoy onsite or take home.

Wine on the Waterfront is presented by the Friends of Washington Crossing Park, the nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of the park and its 500 acres—home to the iconic site where George Washington crossed the Delaware River during the Revolutionary War. Proceeds from the event support year-round educational programming and traditions like the annual Christmas Day Crossing Reenactment, Memorial Day Ceremony, Independence Day Celebration, and more. This event is generously sponsored by Crown Holdings Incorporated.

The Friends of Washington Crossing Park shares the powerful story of General George Washington’s daring crossing of the Delaware River on Christmas Night 1776 and interprets its ongoing impact on world history for both today’s citizens and future generations. Through the fundraising and the generous support of our donors and members, we are able to maintain and sustain this significant historic site and welcome thousands of schoolchildren, families, individuals and groups every year. In partnership with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Friends offer guided interpretive tours and educational programming in the park. The group also holds a number of annual events, several fundraisers and more.
