LIAR...LIAR - Live Storytelling with a Twist

Four Storytellers. Four Stories. One Liar Hidden Among Them. The Audience GUESSES Who.

(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- On the night of Thursday, May 8, 2026, four gifted storytellers will take the stage at the Invertas Brewing Company in Lambertville. Each will tell a personal, true-life story — or so they'll claim. The audience's job: figure out which one of them is lying.

LIAR...LIAR is a uniquely interactive live storytelling event in which four performers each present a compelling, detailed personal narrative — only one of which is fabricated. All four stories are delivered with equal conviction and craft. After the final story is told, the audience guesses to identify the liar. Then the truth is revealed.

"The magic of this show is that the storytellers are all so skilled — and so committed to their stories — that the audience genuinely can't tell who's telling the truth and who's the liar," said producer and host Joey Novick, an entertainment attorney, comedian, and storyteller based in Flemington. "People have lied beautifully and gotten away with it. People have told the absolute truth and been voted the liar. That's what makes it so much fun."

Novick — an improv-trained performer with credits on MTV and Comedy Central and a reputation for opening for Jerry Seinfeld, Lewis Black, and Robert Klein — created LIAR...LIAR as a format that combines the intimacy of personal storytelling with the playful tension of a live game. Each show features a rotating roster of storytellers drawn from the comedy, theater, and literary worlds.

Tickets are $28.52 and available for purchase online. Showtime is 7:00pm. Invertase Brewing Company is located at 80 Lambert Lane in Lambertville, New Jersey.
